Both of those are way too dark, and at any rate rather hard to judge the comparative size.
Also, I don't think your complaint about the current image is a real problem.
Or maybe we could replace the one on Cute Giant?
At any rate, let's see what a GIS for "giant dog" can pull up...
Any idea what this◊ is from?

I have no problem with the current pics, but if we're gonna replace one of them, I'd lean toward Canis Major.
EDIT: Here's some pics of Moro from Princess Mononoke: 1◊, 2◊, 3◊

I feel I should point out that "Claiming that a particular work is overrepresented." * is listed as "NOT valid reasons to start a thread" in this board's own criterias for valid threads.
Honestly, not sure we want to open this precedent.

Agree.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. All those characters appear on Nature Hero. So you'd be creating the same situation we are trying to "fix"

Ghilz has a point; that a character fits multiple tropes and is pic'ed on them is never a problem so long as the pics are sufficiently different from each other. It's essentially the same thing as using one work for several different pages, like we've done for Penny Arcade or XKCD.
Noted. I only suggested those in the event that we did decide to change the Canis Major pic; I'm still good with keeping the Clifford pics.

I don't think this is really a legitimate reason to contest a pic.
OK to morgue?

Cute Giant
Yeah, I know character-redundancy isn't the same thing as image redundancy, but I still think it's ideal to avoid it when we can, so as to avoid associating the two tropes with each other. (They often overlap, given the cuteness associated with dogs, but something can be one trope while being anything but the other.)
Anyway, I suggest using something of the three-headed dog from Harry Potter And The Philosophers Stone.
