Not sure if this belongs here or in the "Gun Porn" thread, but came across this today:

But seriously, I think the intent is so that you wouldn't need multiple guns if you were out hunting (assuming no legal limits on hunting multiple types of game). Might also be handy if there is some kind of limitation on how many guns you can own due to legal reasons or just the size of your storage space.

Also Also, it could be handy if you're hunting someplace dangerous. Like you have birdshot loaded for quail or ducks or something, but you know there are boars or Right-Wing Militia Fanatic types living in the woods so you have the rifle rounds on standby so you don't need to switch ammo or carry two guns.

You can buy a survival take down rifle that fires .22LR and shotgun rounds. However it is a bit more practical.

And a helluva lot cheaper. You can find an M6 survival rifle for around $600 these days. Those European-made combination guns are literal works of art, with prices that start in the five-figure range, and can go as high as your imagination and bank account allow.

Aw, was hoping to see some Lend-Lease gear. I mean, Russian guns are always cool, and it's neat to see captured German kit, but I like the more out of place stuff like Thompsons.

Bears do not have the right to be armed. The last time bears had guns everyone complained that they were too OP, so God nerfed them in his next patch. Now, they're perfectly balanced.

But for guns most of the time, barring a few shitty and overpriced manufacturers, you get what you pay for.

They used to be but then everyone realized what amazing rifles they are for the price and how abundant and easy to get they are so now the price is going up with demand.

Still cheap but now the price point for a good one is around $200+ or so.

Yeah, accuracy is less important than safety for me. I'm okay with a gun that has poor aim, so long as it don't blow up on my face or accidentally discharge.

Then definitely look into buying surplus Mosin. The model you want is the 91/30 with the downturned bolt handle. And check the bolt and the receiver and make sure their serials match

And then give it a nice chemical bath to remove all the years of cosmoline deposited in every single inch of the rifle.
