I wonder if this is the same Abobo fan game I've played in I-Mockery, finally out of the beta phase?
And yes, it's still loading, why do you ask?
EDIT: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! YES!!!

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Oh looks... it's another Spiritual Successor to Dad N' Me. Joy, that's never been done before.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Abobo as in the Double Dragon character?
...
Yup, it's him.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadIndeed it is. It takes a turn for the "really weird" starting at level 2.
P.S. New game, so "spoiler alert" is in effect. Mark accordingly.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Yeah. It wasn't the use of World 2-2 that got me. It was Abobo gaining Yoshi's tongue and swallowing abilities that got me.
Oh, and the next level is a dungeon from the original Zelda.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadThe final boss sure is something...
Bleye knows Sabers. The final boss is extremely easy if you know what to do, but it's still quite cool, anyway.
Mac is for some reason extremely vulnerable to simple repeated punches. Even in his giant form he'll hardly try to fight back. Thus, scoring a TKO in the first round is not difficult at all.
I still lost by decision on my first time, though.
Already completed the game on Newgrounds. Awesome run-through of nostalgia, even though I never actually played half of the games directly refereed in it ( Urban Fighters(?), Balloon Fight, Contra, and Punch Out).
But wow, there's a ton of blood and gore here. And yet a I wonder how this game got a T for teens on Newgrounds...
Always looking for a good MMORPG with a great community...You do realize what a teen is, right?
Bleye knows Sabers.Though the Balloon Fight/Pro Wrestling stage frustrated me to hell and back, I loved watching Abobo's Rage finisher, where he summons the Ultimate Warrior, Rowdy Roddy Piper, The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan to beat down the Amazon before Abobo drives him so hard into the mat it causes a massive explosion.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!I knew that scene meant something to some people. I'm not much of a Pro Wrestling fan though.
Bleye knows Sabers.Wow. Didn't expect much at first, then I saw the developer's name. That was by far the craziest flash game I've ever seen, and it's just so well done. Nice tribute to the NES,
For some reason, this game had the exact opposite effect what it probably was supposed to: instead of being a tribute to all the fun times I've had with NES, it grabbed my nostalgia goggles and smashed them against some rocks. Around stage five it became just a pain in the ass to play through, and pretty much only managed to frustrate the hell out of me - and I knew that most of the things frustrating me were just as much true with the original games back when I played them.
I still love the idea behind the game, though, and sort of hope they could do the same thing with SNES one day.
You know that one Calvin and Hobbes strip with the Tyrannosaurs in F-16s? Yeah, half the time I'm Calvin with this game, and half the time I'm Hobbes. "This is so COOL!" "This is so STUPID!" Which, of course, means this is the best online game I've ever played.
@Willy Four Eyes:
I'm not much of a Pro Wrestling fan either, but I still couldn't help but yell 'HOAK HOGAN' as soon as the Ultimate Warrior appeared.
I liked the part where he killed everyone. XD
-wobbles-@Hayati You mean something like every point in the whole game?
No, the specific part where he killed everyone.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadThis has to be the wildest, goriest, most twisted love letter to The '80s ever. And I love it!
Has anyone made a donation to the team to see what the Aboboy mini-game looks like?
Now available for play on Newgrounds. Discuss!
