Sorry I misread your post and for some reason thought you were saying nice things about SAO.
Excuse my stupidity.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I have got to watct that show at some point.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Funny, Kirito's VA voices a villain in the show, just like Freed in the anime for Dx D.
Only even crazier (If you can believe it).

Watch SymphogearHe sounds great when he's not voicing dumb M Cs like Kirito. Love him as Soma.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Yeah, the lack of Chichigami in BorN was horrible. I liked to died laughing when I read that, especially when Asia tried to heal Ddraig when he confirmed what Issei was hearing.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Also, a deity not belonging to any mythology showing up becomes a plot point later on in the novels, so there might be an issue if the later volumes get animated.
I guess I'll actually say what t I like about the series. Namely that the harem antics are actually amusing, and the lead is an actual pervert that the harem is okay with versus the typical Accidental Pervert that gets punished for it. Also, plenty of awesome fights with mythological figures is always good in my book.

*squints to avoid spoilers*
I've started this thing because… nothing else to do? >.>
Pretty refreshing to have a hero who's not a prude, nor a Covert Pervert, but a proud and open one. Outside of that, though… well, he's pretty much your standard shonen protagonist. Rias is quite likeable as the Benevolent Boss type, though the other girls are all pretty… archetypal. The Yamato Nadeshiko with a slighty sadistic streak. The Rei Clone loli. The Incorruptible Pure Pureness − even as a demon. And the… other guy? But well, they're all funny in their own way.
So far, plot, action and animation are decent. Not outstanding or anything, but enough to keep me entertained. It slightly reminded me of Hidan No Aria in that mix of ecchi antics and action… except it's magic instead of guns… and Issei is the anti-Kinji… and there's no tsundere… and there are a lot more boobs… and forget it, they're nothing alike actually.
It's a pity episode 5 was kinda ruined by the fact that Asia surviving and joining the group was spoiled in the opening and ending right from episode 1… Evolving Credits would have been welcome… Speaking of which, damn that ending is hypnotising. @.@
I'm at episode 6 now… Yikes, Rias is starting to fall, isn't she.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I assume the ending is hypnotizing because of Koneko's butt, eh.
Watch SymphogearAmongst other things.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. That's why Issei works for me, his weaknesses as a harem lead are balanced by his shonen fighting traits.
That familiar master looks an awful lot like a pokémon trainer… Actually episode 8 looked like an ecchi version of a Pokémon episode. >.>
And now Issei's pervertedness gives him a literal superpower boost. Eat your heart out, Yuuki Rito!
That scene in the bath was pretty funny.
Asia: *looks at Rias and Akeno's bazookas* Uuugh…
Koneko: Don't be too greedy.
For that matter, I find Koneko's monochord diction even when she "shouts" pretty hilarious.
Also, I knew there were similarities to HnA! Kinda.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. The author is a massive Pokemon Fan.
Watch SymphogearThought so.
So, Season 1 finished… eeeeh… eeh? I don't really like how the finale played out, with Rias being the Princess to save from the jerk fiancé and all… And I don't know, for some reason I can't really picture Rias and Issei as a couple, contrary to, say, Asia and Issei. Rias feels more like a sort of mentor/mother figure to me. You could say there's too much of a gap in "maturity" to make it believable?
Ah well, so far it's standard shonen fare, but pretty cool. And Issei invented the best ultimate technique ever.
Taking a quick glance at the character page… there's actually gonna be a lot of people joining the ORC. ò.Ô
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. The Light Novel is pretty good. give it a read after the third season.
Ria's name is a reference to Garchomp's japanese name, Gaburias.
Watch SymphogearIs it over, though? I'm not too hype at reading the LNs if there's no end in sight to them…
Anyway, I've started Season 2, and my, it's much better. The characters are getting more interesting, and there's finally something that I realized was absent in the first season: actual stakes. S1 felt more like a long introduction where there wasn't really any major threat, since outside of Jerkgroom Rias and Akeno could just blast away any of them… Now, that's another story. Also, the animation's gotten better, unsurprisingly.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Haha the finale for season was both hilarious & fucking awesome. Issei definitely ranked points on my favorite protag list cause of how fucking nuts he was in the end.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The LN has entered the final arc, if memory serves. It'll likely be over in another few volumes. Also, while the anime is amazing, the LN is just straight up better about a lot of things. Since the LNs are written in first person and, like, 90% of it is from Issei's perspective, we get a far better look into his (and several other characters') psyche than the anime could ever hope to give us. Issei and Rias are a bit more believable in the LN, I feel, and are absolutely amazing later on in the LN.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!LN's good if you aren't allergic to 1st person POV like me... >_>
Kiba becoming Yumi needs an OVA.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. What's wrong with first person?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Dunno, it's just jarring to me. Perhaps because I like to separate myself from a fictional character, and it's harder when the story is narrated directly as he/she sees it.
It's not as bad as 2nd person POV, but I still don't like it. Even in classical literature such as "Robinson Crusoe"... Anyhow, this isn't what we should be discussing here; this is HS Dx D thread, not '1st person POV' thread. :)
…There's such a thing as "2nd person POV"? >.> And I would say Robinson Crusoe is just badly written, regardless of the point-of-view.
Anyway, finished Season 2! Yep, definitely an improvement over the first one. "If I can't win with talent, I might as well use my stupidity to the fullest" − Issei summing up his own character in one awesome line. That (not-quite-)final fight was stupid as hell, but they managed to make it work, somehow. On the harem side, this is really starting to feel like "To Love-Ru done better".
And Gasper… I hadn't been confused by a male character this much since Aikawa Kizuna. But, err… how old is he, exactly? The flashback of his meeting with Rias seemed to take place at least a century ago…
Finally, a bit of Fridge Logic: in one episode, we see that demons are hurt when other people pray for them… Does that mean an angel or priest/nun just needs to do that to defeat a demon? >.>
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. The age of basically everybody other than Issei (and even him) is unknown (although everyone should be about the age you'd expect them to be given their grade level). Ga-suke... I haven't gotten to the volume focusing on his past yet but I wanna say that he may very well be the oldest member of the ORC, discounting a certain someone who joins at the end of Season 3.
Things like praying for a Devil only hurts the low class weaklings like Issei. The more powerful the Devil, the less of an effect it would have. It probably wouldn't bother Rias at all and I'm certain it wouldn't bother Akeno.
Also, yes, there's a second person perspective but it's exceedingly rare. It's a style of writing where the reader is the viewpoint character (i.e. "You go to the door and find so and so.").

Not Kirito, Subaru.
He and Issei are my favorite LN characters because they actually develop.
