We can run an IP thread to discuss the picture for this and for Color-Coded for Your Convenience. I am loathe to axe it since it is an IP selection.

I've tried to make it clear in the description that this is usually one of many ways to tell the characters apart. Are we good to launch this? Or does it need more work?

1: Has Color-Coded Characters been YKTTW'ed?

2: Anyone mind if I add Color Motifs (and Colour Motifs) as redirects?

Just add the redirects.

1. No, but it has a sandbox page linked here.

2. Yes, I mind. As I explained upthread, that's a different trope and it's already in YKTTW.

[up]Could you link the sandbox again.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

There's a ton already on Color-Coded for Your Convenience. Do you think we need more?

I mean copy them on the sandbox page, and we should have it ready to make official.

Okay, examples all split up. I made a sandbox page for the original Colour Coded For Your Convenience so I won't have to go through them twice.

Seriously, that is a great idea.

While I was going through the sandbox for the supertrope, I noticed someone "helpfully" changed all the wicks to their British spelling, breaking the indexing on the page. Sheesh. Will add a mod request not to do that in the future.

I hate spelling purists of either nation.

Sigh. There should be redirects for both tongues, but you really should use whatever the main page spelling is on indexes.

Okay, since Color Motif will be launching today, are there any other comments/criticisms/last-minute-holy-craps before I go live with this?

It's been split, all that's left are a crap ton of wicks. Probably needs a SE thread, because a quick glance tells me that people have been using the supertrope when a more specific subtrope was needed on a lot of those entries.

Picture thread, since the current was moved.

Also, should we discuss renaming Chromatic Arrangement?

Okay, now that I'm not playing wack-a-troll with the ME hydra, I had time to finish the Immortality wicks and can now start this clean up. With almost 5000 wicks, help would really be appreciated.

Finished the A's for Colour-Coded for Your Convenience. Will try to do at least one letter per day.

EDIT: B is done.

I made an effort to do Z and some of Y. I have not done wick cleaning before. I think I understand what I am doing, but if someone wanted to double check and make sure I am not effing up I would not object.

Did Y - V. I am noticing that most of the incorrect wicks are actually supposed to point to Good Colors, Evil Colors. I am wondering if maybe Colour-Coded for Your Convenience should have a different page quote?

Did U and T. Still seeing a LOT of misuse confusing this with Good Colors, Evil Colors. I am assuming that when good-evil was split off all the wicks were cleaned since ccoa says she did it herself, so I am kind of concerned to see so much incorrect usage.

Well it's not exactly misuse, as Good Colors, Evil Colors is a subtrope of Color-Coded for Your Convenience.

edited 7th Nov '12 7:35:32 PM by troacctid

Rhymes with "Protracted."

You are not wrong. I am just frustrated because I was only expecting to change wicks to recent subtropes and so far the easy majority of them have been good-evil. (I can neither confirm nor deny that may be because switching to another trope starting w/ 'color coded' only involves changing the words and switching to good-evil means moving the entry to the alphabetically correct place)

Side note: and we get Colour Motif as a redirect to Color Motif? I keep forgetting the correct spelling on that one.

Other side note: S is now done.
