It's already in Useful notes (look at the index bar at the bottom of the page). For dictators thinking they are the state, there is the larger I Am the Noun.
No, it's not. It's in a category called "Useful notes France", but it's not in the namespace Useful Notes.
The difference is confusing. This page sounds like a trope (and is sometimes linked as such), but it's in fact a UN page. Several other pages in the same category, such as La RĂ©sistance and Les Collaborateurs, sound like they're UN pages, but are in fact tropes.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Just move it over to useful notes, than.
SPATULA, Supporters of Page Altering To Urgently Lead to Amelioration (supports not going through TRS for tweaks and minor improvements.)So that's a namespace migration to UsefulNotes.Letat Cest Moi, right? And it's done just like a trope renaming/moving?

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Pretty sure, you'll probably have to add the current namespace as a redirect afterwards.
SPATULA, Supporters of Page Altering To Urgently Lead to Amelioration (supports not going through TRS for tweaks and minor improvements.)I moved it to Useful Notes and made the main a redirect. Now I'm trying to fix the wicks.
"Learning without thinking is labor lost. Thinking without learning is dangerous."All the redirects are fixed. Lock this.
Is there a place where completed namespace migrations are reported?
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Sorry, but we've gotta give this one a workable name. Useful Notes need decent titles that tell the reader what they cover. They are factual background material in support of tropes: obscure names mean they can't do their job properly in the wicks. We want to be able to say:
<Trope material needing some real-life background>. See also Relevant Area.
I'd suggest Historical French Rulers, or similar.
We could just add redirects.
SPATULA, Supporters of Page Altering To Urgently Lead to Amelioration (supports not going through TRS for tweaks and minor improvements.)Sounds good.
While we're on the topic, there's a few pages with the same problem. Pretty much everything linked from the UN page on France is either another Useful Notes page (so it should be moved to that namespace), or is a trope (so it shouldn't be linked from there). And a few have an obscure name (because they require parentheses to explain what the page is actually about).
I'd be happy to fix that if people agree it's a good idea, but I'll wait for a few days so people can talk about it here.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Sure, why not ? I agree.
Richard The Lion Heart is also on Main but reads like a Useful Notes page.
Oh, OK nevermind. I didn't realize that sort of page was under discussion elsewhere.

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere. That should be in the Historical Domain Character Namespace.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!No, that's an index, not a namespace.
As for this page's name, it seems to be limited to French royals, unless I am mistaken.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. What about Hachiko? The description wants it to be a Useful Notes, and the examples want it to be a trope about... something.
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere. Most of the examples are references to the Trope Namer, so the description works for them. The "Story of Hachiko WITH A DIFFERENT DOG!" examples are probably misuse.

Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanShall I cut those then?
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Maybe that does need a trope. Like Forever Loyal Dog or something.

I came across Letat Cest Moi expecting a trope about the (stock?) phrase where a dictator thinks he IS the country. Instead, it appears to be an encyclopedic page detailing the history of France for the past 1500 years or so.
Should this be in Useful Notes, or should we cut it because we're not That Other Wiki (and because they're not necessarily useful as notes)? Is there some existing trope where we could redirect the Stock Phrase title?
