Looks fine - using the Unreal Engine 3 - the first game to do so for the Vita.
BBC did cancel the Dr. Who adventure game, tho.
Jonah FalconI don't think he means aesthetically it looks horrible (Though I have to say it does, in my opinion), I think he means it looks like a bad game.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I think for running from enemies they could try something like the escape from the water creature in Amnesia The Dark Descent; instead of climbing over boundaries, have stuff like stealth (Preferably a minimal amount), distractions, throwing stuff behind you to hinder the monster's progress, etc. Maybe even hiding in a wardrobe like the bedroom scene.
Another idea would be a dialogue tree system for when the enemy does catch up to you; you have to choose a clever line to keep the enemy distracted within a short time, and each time you fumble your words, they get more agitated and ready to just kill you. It'd be just like the actual show where he spends tons of time Talking the Monster to Death or holding a conversation to keep them from killing him.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.You mean Evolution of the....
- IS BRICKED
I liked Evolution of the Daleks. *gets exterminated*
@Mukora: I think looks horrible on BOTH counts.
I also didn't think Evolution of the Daleks was that ba-*is shot*

What's all this about Evol- *erased*
Scardoll's idea: You know, that'd be perfect for the Doctor. How do you make it challenging, though?
Also, why did the makers decide to go this way instead of that?
What was so bad about Evolution of the Daleks, again?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Evolu-That episode is terrible for several reasons.
- Narm
- The Dalek Sec costume
- Narm
- The Doctor being so trusting of the Daleks
- Narm
- The NEW YAWK accents
- Narm
- The gossiping Daleks scene
- Narm
- And several other different factors, not least of which is Narm
I'm not a game developer, so I just threw out an idea that I thought would be fun to play and fits the Doctor.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.I can't argue about anything else, but I figured he wasn't so much trusting, as he really wanted to find a way to end the Dalek threat, and Sec's seeming change of heart (and the Doctor knows the Daleks well enough to see it's genuine, as there's no reason for them to spare him earlier in the ep) provided him a way to do so without trying genocide them (something he's tried before, does not like doing, and has yet to work).
Beyond that, Narm. So much Narm.
One Strip! One Strip!I... AM... A HUMAN... DALEK.
Oh come on, how could you guys not love bipedal running piglet? :P
Spooky.Funny, I would've thought Love & Monsters would be getting all the hate...
Meh.
I thought the entire appeal of Doctor Who was narm.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."
I'm pretty sure it gets hate too. Though it might be mitigated by pioneering the Doctor lite eps. It may not have been a great episode itself, but the concept was good.
One Strip! One Strip!A-HEM.
Topic?
Has anyone played the episodic adventure games? They look a lot closer to what a Doctor Who game should be like, with puzzles and running away from daleks and whatnot. They all star Matt Smith, which isn't bad, but it would be cool to play as some of the other Doctors as well. They're also free if you live in the UK, which is pretty cool.

I would play them, but since I'm a dirty American, I can't.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."EDIT: Oh shit, we're on-topic now?
Umm... The episodic games were kinda meh. They're okay as adaptations, but they're pretty mediocre games. The Daleks one was better than the Cybermen one for me.
I didn't pirate them or anything. shifty eyes
Off-topic
Love and Monsters is awesome. The entire episode is made of camp and never takes itself seriously. The only bad part for me was the ending oral sex joke, but even that isn't enough to sully a very funny entry into the series. Blink and Midnight were better small-scale episodes, but I think Love and Monsters is definitely not bad.
My top ten worst new who episodes would be...
- 10. Aliens in London/World War 3 (Meh. Toilet humor.)
- 9. The Idiot's Lantern (Jesus Christ, this episode is forgettable. It's so forgettable, I don't even remember the plot beyond "people lose their faces")
- 8. Doomsday (>:( It made the Cybermen look like pansies)
- 7. The Doctor's Daughter (The titular character is a horrible, horrible, horrible Mary Sue, and she's still not the worst thing about the episode)
- 6. Boomtown (Soooo boring...)
- 5. New Earth (Let's mix all the medicines together and throw it on them!)
- 4. Let's Kill Hitler (A huge letdown, it pretty much fucked up the plot of Series 6)
- 3. Evolution of the-BANG
- 2. The Lazarus Experiment (Normally, the effects in New Who look better than the effects in old Who. This is the exception.)
- 1. Cold Blood (Vivisection is okay, war for territory is not!)
Honorable Mention: "How could I mention Rise of the Cybermen, from beyond the grave?"

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.—Whacks Scardoll on the back of his head—
Hey now. A couple of those I liked. Anyway, why didn't they bother putting effort into making puzzles and dialogue?
Daleks are not scary. Period. They're Narm incarnate.
I mean, who's scared of the love child of R2-D2 and a trash can?
Jonah FalconYou are clearly not british. Or jewish. Or alive.
Doctor Who is older than Star Wars by a good decade. Any brit would recognize one of their most infamous cultural icons.
Any jew would know to fear the second coming of the Nazis.
Any living thing would fear the battle cry of life's sworn enemy.
This looks HORRIBLE.
