Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. The first one, which was a blast with friends but was so dickingly backwards to set up that most people didn't bother. I'd like to see it remade on the 3DS or something.
[/expected]
EDIT: Guess I should mention that spin-off games from a series are fine, e.g. Ultima Underworld or Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance.

Somehow you know that the time is right.i would put suikoden, but apparantly theres a new one in the making. unfortunately on a platform i dont have but whatever.
so instead, the breath of fire series.
In fact, any game which used the GBA-GCN cable for four player games could use a rerelease of some kind. Four Swords Adventures and Pacman Vs. are the only other two I can think of, though.
A game like BG will not come again. Thanks to relatively low graphics demands, and the fact that console gamers could be ignored, so much depth and story and content was packed into that game that its like will never be made again. Seriously, in BG 2 alone each stronghold quest was the size of a DAO faction quest. That's not to mention the massive storyline quests and all the little quests and characters that populated Athkatla, Trademeet and so forth.
The series was the peak of a certain type of RPG experience. Its not coming back.

Knights Of Honor (Yea! the first page I created!)
And Star Wars Battle Front. That game was awesome, and it's fit in well with today's FPS if it was properly upgraded.

Bug!
Clockwork Knight
Jet Set Radio
Streets of Rage
Final Fight
the beat 'em up genre as a whole
F-Zero
Vectorman
Ultima
Ultima Underground
I could go on, but I'll save the rest for later.
Seconding Jet Set Radio.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.Thirding it. Future especially was great.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter! How about Lemmings?
I would by a new Lemmings on Xbox Arcade.
Earthworm Jim.
Oh, I remeber lemings. I used to take obscene enjoyment to setting them all to self destruct just as they got into their hole. Heh heh heh.
I'm baaaaaaackSW Battlefront, Impossible Creatures, Crash Bandicoot.
Likes many underrated webcomicsAside of the aforementioned F-Zero, Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Final Fight, Star Wars Battlefront, etc., I'm going to throw in a vote for Skies of Arcadia and Ristar (some more Sega gems), as well as various Capcom IPs not named Street Fighter (i.e. God Hand, Viewtiful Joe, Red Earth, and especially Darkstalkers).
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI've always been fond of Magi Nation, when it was released for the GBC (it's where my avatar comes from). It's not really popular with that many people, but I like it and felt I should mention it.
They never travel alone.Seconding God Hand, Viewtiful Joe, Red Earth and Darkstalkers.
I also raise you one...
The UMVC 3 commercial just came on and made me forget what I was going to say.
Gonna take you for a ride. Gonna take you for a ride.
Fatal Racing and Descent.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelJazz Jackrabbit....and before you say that it did have one. Yes there is a GBA game. It sucks and most people put it into Discontinuity. I actually playedthe original when i was a kid and i fell in love with the game. I loved the sequel and I really want to see this guy brought back. Hes basically Shadow the Hedgehog DONE RIGHT. Also the music IS freaking AWESOME

I forgot about Impossible Creatures, Viewtiful Joe, and F Zero, and forgot the name of Magi Nation, so add those.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter! Now time for the obligitory GOTCHA MOTHERFUCKING FORCE entry...
Let's see...
I second Pokemon Stadium but also put in a vote for Pokemon Colosseum as well, since it had a pretty kickass storyline, considering it is a Pokemon game. I'd like to see another entry in the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance series, since they were incredibly fun.
"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValSeconding Final Fantasy Tactics. Love that job system.
Also seconding Pokemon Colosseum. As obviously anime based as the character was in the first one, you really couldn't help but feel badass. Not to mention its the only game where trainers don't smack away your Pokeballs when you try to capture their Pokemon. If I want your Pikachu, I'll take your Pikachu!
ITT: We post video games (stand-alone or series) that have fallen by the wayside, so to speak, and that we think should be brought back, be it in the form of a reboot, remake, sequel, or something else. Let's say that if a franchise hasn't had a new game in five years or more it can go in this topic. And for the love of baby Jesus, no snarky "hurr hurr final fantasy coz it's been dead to me since [insert last FF game you liked here]"-type crap. No limit on the number of games you can list. I'll start:
- Commander Keen
- Jazz Jackrabbit
- Mother (I know there's a Mother 4 fan-game in the works, but I'm talking official releases here)
- Septerra Core
- Blood
- Shogo: Mobile Armor Divison
- One Must Fall
- Arc the Lad
- Tyrian
- Heretic/Hexen
- Baldur's Gate
- Blake Stone
Somehow you know that the time is right.
