Really, the only thing I remember about this show was the opening.
Although I did see a few episodes on the Hub recently. Not bad, but nostalgia can make anything look perfect.
Did they ever explain what the deal with Alpha's transformation into a monster was? I know it had something to do with him working for the MIB as the first agent, but I don't know the rest.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987he decided that alien organs are way more cool than human ones.
"You can reply to this Message!"I faintly remember this. The only episode I could really remember was the one where that blonde woman (She's there at 0:29) having some alien double while she was "dating" one of the two good guys.
The art style looks really familiar too.
I seriously can't think of any clever joke. The Art Style, I think, is from Jackie Chan Adventures. Probably the same animation studio.
I enjoyed this show and still do, despite my self-motto against nostalgia. That's only because (To me) this is a well-thought out effort not just done for quick cash like most Animated TV series adaptations of movies usually are.
This is where I, the Vampire Mistress, proudly reside: http://liberal.nationstates.net/nation=nova_nacioThere was a point at which this show went the way of the Real Ghostbusters; it was smart, cool and at times very dark, but then the network pushed them into using more and more of the comic relief (slimer/the worms) until by the last season or so, they were the focus almost every episode, and the writing took a nosedive. In MIB's case this was also marked by a shift in art style; the AMAZING Fil Barlow (who, interestingly enough, also worked on Real Ghostbusters) who had designed all of the series aliens left for other projects, and I'm not sure who replaced him, but the aliens got a whole lot less creative.
Until then, though, it was an absolutely amazing series.
bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.Stupid/Gross Humor over witty writing. How many shows have done that?
I don't remember this show too well, only saw a few episodes and remember that dream/inception episode and the one with the worm guys King.
I don't recall any gross-out humor in this series even at its lamest.

Okay. In the next little while I plan to re-watch Roswell Conspiracies a great show that was spawned by an obscure network no one has ever heard of. Because of that few people are familiar with the show, though it aired on YTV back around 2000 where I saw it. It's an excellent show, very much in the vein of the Men In Black animated series. Anyway, before I binge watch all 40 episodes of Roswell I thought I'd watch all the essential episodes of MIB. Now I know MIB has aired on the Hub, recently so I'm wondering if anyone here is something of an MIB expert and can tell me which episodes are essential to the main story arc about Alpha, and also which episodes tie in to the "bug" arc dealing with the aftermath of Edgar's death from the movie, or if there are any other essential episodes that I should be watching.
I decided to binge-watch this show online several months ago, and it was pretty good. For some reason, even though I was a little kid back when this aired on Kids' WB, I don't even remember watching it. But it was entertaining, considering it had a few of the same writers as Jackie Chan Adventures.
Seriously, that was one of if not the coolest animation on TV at the time...
I like how they play with The Comically Serious...
A case of true love has the same redeeming power as a case of genuine curiosity: they are the same.
