Against all logic and conventional wisdom, the retool was better.

...

As soon as I read the title, I literally thought there was going to be a Bollywood movie adaptation of Johnny Bravo.

So now we must reminscent about her nostalgia. One of my favorite episodes was the Farrah Fawcett one. So much innuendo.

According to Partible's site, it was only made for Indian audiences.

Is it coming to the USA?

I liked Retool Suzie better than Original Suzie, and I liked the dynamics Pops and Carl had with Johnny, but otherwise, the original run was less tiresome than the retooled one.

Honestly, I think the show was fine all throughout. I've got episodes throughout every season that I'd rank pretty highly if asked to do so.

But, then, that's not the thread's topic. I hadn't heard of this beforehand, but if it's anything like I'm thinking it might be, it oughta be interesting.

Dude, it's Bollywood. If you're not expecting it to be musical, then you are sorely mistaken.

And what's wrong with musicals? Musicals are awesome!

Since the title thread implies we can talk about the show in general, I'd like to know why the hell everyone beats on the rebooted seasons.

The fact is, if the show had not been rebooted, it would have been forgotten, much like, say, Robot Jones. In its first season, it was the least popular of the original three Cartoon Cartoons behind Dexter's Lab and Cow and Chicken. And to be honest, while I thought both versions were funny, I kinda prefer the rebooted version - the original didn't have a large supporting cast and while the celebrity cameos were funny, there were a few that haven't aged well (who here knows who Vendela is?)

Anybody have any thoughts on the matter?

I like the "In-between" season where the humor reiled more on random events instead of celebs and the art style changed a little. Where as Johnny's final eps were seriously paced slower than anything they use to give us. Plus, they started to become grating as Hell.

Im assuming this is a general discussion

bump

Didn't like the show as a kid but it has sorta grown on me. Funny jokes and nice voice acting. I thought the show only had one season and was surprised to see that they were newer seasons...what I saw was downright painful.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!

It's not, it was about a specific India-exclusive episode of the show.

[up][up] The first post says we can talk about the show in general.

But if we can't... Somebody start up a thread based on the show!
