Okay, who's played this game? It's quite fun.

Sequence takes the basic gameplay of Dance Dance Revolution and basically expands it into a full-on real-time RPG. Well, technically real-time. You have to hit 'gems' (in other words, arrows) to cast spells, defend yourself against damage, and recover mana.

You need to make strategic decisions on the fly as whether to, say, in the instance that you're casting a spell while your enemy is attacking, take damage in order to cast that spell, or to block the damage, and waste the mana (which you can recover, but still).

Also, the writing is superb, and the voice acting is quite natural and well-done, at at times quite funny, too. Don't get me started on the banter between Ky and his Voice with an Internet Connection. And then there's the boss characters, who are indeed rather... Unique.

All in all, it's a great game. It just came out on PC, and it'a apparently been on the XBLA for a while, too. The 360 controller is best for this game, even on PC, and for good reason.

Sorry for the double post, but... Why is nobody talking about this game? I finished it, and man, that was one hell of a wild ride, especially in the story department.

And as expected, the hidden ending has a cliffhanger. Figures. Still, The deception-within-deception was brilliant.

Also, some of the guardians are hilarious. Especially Caleb, who is basically an Interactive Fiction game in human form.

I've been playing this, and absolutely loving the crap out of it.

Voice acting is...hit-and-miss, but the dialogue is absolutely fantastic. And the gameplay is top notch too.

Yeah, I'm playing the game myself. Very fun, but I'll be honest. The narrative is grating at times, especially with the character of Naia.

Its clear she knows more than lets on, and its also clear that she gives Ky a very hard time, but from where I stand, she has no reason to be a Tsundere much less a Deadpan Snarker. Ky has legitmate concerns as to his situation which she can help answer, but all she does is bitch and complain that he's pathetic or a Butt-Monkey. There's not even any motivation which drives those words either-she just does it to piss him off..and to piss the player off. I'm not too sure why.

Other than that, the bosses are amazingly funny if a little one-note, and the gameplay is interesting enough.

First off, this game is part of the Steam Gift Pile! Yay.

Second off, I finally beat the game.

WHAT THE FLYING FUCK. SERIOUSLY?

Now I want a sequel more than anything else...

I can't quite say I'm feeling this game. For anybody who's played it with a controller: Does it have rumble?

That might help with some of the problems I have with the game currently(namely, lack of feedback compared to other rhythm games).

...I don't quite have a rumble-compatible controller at the moment though...

Hey, that "Rapid Fire" song reminds me a lot of that one segment of "Cetus 808" from the Need For Speed III soundtrack.

Floor 6, the dragon...any tip on beating that guy? It's either he killed me first or I can't kill him before the song ends...man, that guy's tough and even the ant thing (2nd enemy) have same defense, the 2nd guy's song is much longer and also have only half the hp of the stupid dragon...

Give me cute or give me...something?

I just got this game and I'm surprised at how difficult it is. Even on easy the timing of the notes takes a bit of time to get used to.

I just spam the relevant key when the gem gets close enough.

[up]I found that strategy fails hard when a series of the same gem appears. Double tapping works much better.

Did you guys do Lag Calibration in the options menu? That might help.
