Anyway, I just had an idea for a fanfic continuation of Digimon Tamers.

The story takes place several years after the conclusion of Tamers. Things seem to be relatively normal, at first, but then rumors of a strange, talking creature begin popping up.

The "creature" is actually a digimon named Shaimon, who looks like Calumon with Terriermon's ears and purple markings. Shaimon not only appears to be capable of surviving in the real world, but also displays a unique ability: his very presence somehow allows bioemergence events to occur and let digimon survive in the real world. It doesn't take long before the main characters find themselves in a situation much like the beginning of Tamers.

Making things more complicated, some digimon that enter the real world appear to be acting strangely, and by "strangely" I mean "Axe-Crazy." Digimon affected by this phenomenon are turned into mindless creatures of destruction, and when destroyed, they release a bit of additional data that can't be absorbed and seems to vanish completely.

There's also a new character called "The Harvester," a humanoid figure in crimson red armor, whose face is obscured by a blank mask, and attacks with sickles on chains. He has no memory of his true identity (though its clear he isn't a human or a digimon), and he actively hunts and destroys digimon to absorb their data and supposedly find his purpose. Though he isn't exactly a nice guy, his status as an antagonist is questionable, as he clearly respects the bond that the main cast share with their digimon, and makes no effort to fight them provided they don't stand in his way.

Long story short: Shaimon is Shuggai, or Juggernaut, which somehow copied some of Terriermon's data and became a digimon. The Harvester was born from the regressed form of the D-Reaper after the end of Tamers, and the insane digimon are the result of the digimon being infected with the Creeper Virus, the same virus that the D-Reaper was created to get rid of, which was introduced into the digital world by the data shed by the D-Reaper when it regressed.

I had an idea quite a while ago that I abandoned due to deadness and crappy writing, that involved two teams of Digidestined, one side utilising crests attributed to 'good', and the others using a team using 'bad' crests (Like solitude, despair, basically evil counterparts) taking part in a war between Seraphimon's faction and Cherubimon's. The good guys would use this 'Slide Evoloution' thing where their partner Digimon could switch between multiple possible evolutions (Like Greymon can become Geogreymon) while the bad guys get more fusion options.

I'd maybe give it another try if I wasn't so deeply engrossed in writing Touhou stuff right now.

Fanfic recommandion. Read Tamer's Requiem. The story in a nut shell. When Guilmon dark digivolved into Megidramon, it causes a lot more problems than meets the eye. And it takes 3 more books just to fix that one problem. There's shipping and crossover elements from Digimon Saviors and others in later books. You may want to stop reading it after book 3 since the author has given up writing Digimon for a while.

Digimon World Re Digitize has inspired me to consider an idea I had been floating around for a Pokemon story instead.

But I ain't here to talk about that.

My real idea is a Fate Stay Night / Digimon Crossover with certain Digimon in the place of servants. Haven't figured out who would go where yet, it's just a vague thought.

Remember when I said I had an idea for a Digimon fic.

Well, I'm actually working on it. It's been in my head on and off from years actually, and has taken many forms(and as said before, been a Pokemon fic as well at some point), but as we speak, I'm writing up something of a rough background for the wordl, then I'll get into characters, then finally the plot.

At least I hope to. Can't say how far I'll get.

Rob: BlackWarGreymon for Berserker, Wizardmon for Caster, Gallantmon for Lancer, VictoryGreymon or Knightmon for Saber, Beelzemon as Rider, Paildramon for Archer, and for Assassin.... no idea.

So, anyone here read Radiant Sacrifice? It's apparently kinda Dead Fic right now (or at the very least it's dormant) and it's gotten a lot of favorable reviews.

Also features a meta example of Motive Decay if you check the author's notes.

Could try Ravenmon as Assassin.

Still working on that other idea as well. Going slowly.

Rob: Better yet, Taomon for Caster rather than Wizardmon... How about Duskmon for Assassin?

Since I haven't watched Fate Stay Night I'm not sure if this is okay, but skip Taomon and go straight to Sakuyamon. But if you need a digimon darker than Sakuyamon go for Kuzuhamon or Lilithmon.

Has anybody read the "Disaster and a Movie" ones, by any chance? I still have them printed, and they're as good as I remember. :)

I..I wrote some. If anyone wants to read, I mean. It's Season 2, lots of action and mortal peril and kidnapping. Kari and TK centric. A Captive Light.

My favorite Digimon fanfics are Dimensions by Blazing Chaos and Taming the Third Lion since they are really good interpretations on Digimon Tamers and the fact that I've come to like the pairing of Takato and Rika/Ruki.

Not sure if this should go here or in the Pony fic thread, but I'm currently writing a Digimon Adventure 02 crossover with My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic fic called Digital Harmony. Go check it out if you're interested, but feel free to ignore it if ponies aren't your thing.

So I totally forgot you said that, but I did just come up with something.

It doesn't completely reject 02, as Ken still appears as the Digimon Emperor, and still makes use of Control Spires and the Dark spores, but the idea is that the new chosen don't appear, and there's no armour evolution.

When the Emperor starts flexing his muscle with the Spires, the originals find that they can't evolve their Digimon to higher forms (the towers don't work like in the original 02 where they force the digimon back to it's previous form, but still prevent Evolution within their sphere of influence, so the chosen have to work around it by evolving outside the area at first).

They will not have given up their Crest Powers, but won't be able to evolve to Perfect / Ultimate due to the large number of towers. As they destroy more, they start re-taking levels and getting back up to their former state. Until that time, they have to rely on cleverness and team work when having to fight Perfect levels.

I don't know what role Chimeramon will play yet, but I might still work him in, I do know that the Kaiser Arc will once again end with Ken doing a Heel–Face Turn. The others are for the most part willing to give him a chance to redeem himself, and then Arachnemon and Mummymon come into the picture, and eventually Vamdemon, just like before. The Chosen beat him by letting Taichi and Yamato reach Ultimate / Mega again, and all of them kick his ass....including Ken, who helps Wormon reach his own perfect level of Jewelbeemon with his crest of Kindness......

And then things get interesting. While Vamdemon was trying his usual crap (and he puts up a much better fight then in the original series) Demon has taken notices of both the effectiveness of the Dark spores, and the partnership between humans and digimon, so he decides to make us of both. he copies Ken's dormant spore, and captures Arachnemon as well (who survive Vamdemon's double cross somehow, don't ask me how yet) and uses both to create Digimon for himself, and human partners to pair them with: A twist on the international Chosen and Dark spore kids arc.

For this part, the digimon will all be Expies of the chosens:

• The Commandramon line for Agumon

• The Liollmon line for Gabumon

• Saberdramon (along with a good rookie) for Biyomon / Piyomon, complete with Parrotmon for it's perfect

• Nobody but Kuwagamon for Tentomon

• Lalamon for Palmon

• Don't know who to use for Gomamon, but for now, maybe Betamon and the Seadramon line

• Naturally, Devimon for Angemon (with good old Pico / Demi Devimon as his child form).

• And if you thought I'd miss an opportunity for a good Catfight, then you are delusional, because Black-Tailmon / Gatomon for Tailmon / Gatomon.

And for Ken....no damn clue, but he'll get someone.

With the stakes raised much higher than before, the kids have to even start getting their digimon up to the Mega level, which means Phoenixmon, Hercules Kabuterimon, Rosemon, Vikemon, Seraphimon and Ophanimon, with their evil counterparts doing the same as well.

Shit hits the fan when Omegamon / Omnimon comes back into play, as that brings about the worst possible counter in Chaosmon (hence why I chose Liollmon and Commandramon).

And it's Pandemonium essentially. I still have no idea where this would go, or how to make it all work, but what do you guys think?

I think I don't know enough to really say.

Beyond that I only know the Eng terms and names.

Yeah. I used to only know those ones too, but I brushed up.

Part of the reason I'm even familiar with Japanese terms is because of the dub, and my desire to become more familiar with the original versions.

This culminated with both Digimon Savers and Digimon Xros Wars, where I saw the raw and subbed versions first, and actually haven't watched the dubs that much (I've seen one dubbed ep of Data squad, and am only catching Fusion now because it airs on a channel where I can watch it).

Only seen a few episodes of Fusion, before Nick stopped showing it for some reason.

Never watched Data Squad.

Although I do have passing familiarity with a few Jap names and Digivolution terms, from reading V-Tamer 01. Or whatever it was called.

As a result of that, though, "Taichi" makes me think of the guy from V-Tamer, where I know the kid from Digimon Adventure specifically as "Tai".

I was thinking in how to cross Xros Wars and that anime currently airing, Z/X Ignition.

Basically, some time after the mess with Quartzmon, Taiki go to the digital world once again to help Shoutmon with the whole Digimon King thing, with plans of later revealing the digital world to the rest of humanity.

It's while he is away that the Black Points¹ appear, temporally cutting off the already sketchy connection of the real world with the digital one.

That leave the other (ex)generals and hunters to figure out what the hell is going on and fight off a interdimensional/temporal invasion with just with whatever partners came back from the digital world before the Black Points appeared.

From there we have the different perspectives of this shitstorm. Tagiru becoming famous and figuring that it isn't just fun and games, Kiriha becoming the biggest source of collateral demage seen by man, Yuu doing cloak and dagger stuff trying to get the enemies realize before it's tool late that they really came to the wrong neighborhood, etc.

Altough I still don't know how to end it since the anime is still ongoing.

¹: Literally a giant pitch black sphere from which the Z/X come from, there are around five of them. Supposedly each one connect to a different alternate future, wich is trying to make sure their timeline is the one that will happen. Yeah.
