I mean, I'm really, desperately hoping that this is a hoax. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt just this once. I want that bad.

I'm thinking its probably fake. simply because I cant possibly think anyone could be stupid enough to say that out loud.

or insane enough to think Obama has dictatorial power.

I can't say that I'm surprised, if it is true. Many of the members of the Tea Party has, pretty much from the beginning, been far more interested in achieving their agenda than in doing what's best for the big picture.

Further digging indicates that the message was posted on a Tea Party message board, and is from one extreme Tea Party member, rather than an official thing from the group spokesmen.

Ahh, here we go. the original posting.

There is political opposition, there is stupid political opposition and then there is Tea Party.

I mean, WTF? "Obama has seized what amount to dictatorial powers to bypass our Congress" since when? How does ruining the countrys economy help it anyway? Do they somehow think Obama is a Fisher King and removing him suddenly makes everything ok?

I have always held Tea Party as somewhat stupidity but damn, they keep suprising me...

If this is true, I sincerely hope this is fringe enough to have no effect on my job hunting. If in the slim, slim chance that one propsective boss actually adheres to this asinine proclamation, then I'll do the reasonable thing and join a boycott of that business. Right after I throw bricks and shit through their windows.

Eh, it's just one person. Maybe prominent in the TP (I don't know), but one especially nutty bar of nuts can't speak for the whole asylum. I like to think that even the TP, on average would prefer economic prosperity under a Democrat than ruination under a Republican.

(Edit: It appears to be legitimate, though; a lot of different sites are showing it, at any rate.)

I'm amused that if this is a real document, the Tea Party has no fucking idea what dictators have powerwise

and so the tea party succeeds in alienating the moderates and Occupy Wall Street one one fell swoop.

The comments are especially hilarious. They call Obama a marxist. Have they ever even studied Marx?

This just proves the Tea Party are nothing but agenda-seeking, religous-obsessed, stupidly-extremist traitors... And yet the majority is going to listen to them out of fear of Socialism's reach... Which could actually be good to balance out our victimization as a result of crony Capitalism!

I can only hpe that's not the case and these... traitors! Are ignored and forgotten once and for all.

Not surprised.

I never thought this kind of declaration would be made, even by a Tea Party member. That is not very patriotic, you know.

Several comments even on the first page are opposed. For example, "We didn't want those jobs babysitting your deformed children anyway, Randian dolts," and a lengthier opposition by somebody who's still obviously in the Tea Party mindset rather than some foreign troll.

Have they ever even studied Marx?

Well, somebody helpfully excerpted from the Communist Manifesto for them.

These people are insane, stupid, hateful people. They don't so much as care for America itself as long as they can express that hate they feel for the direction the world has been heading.

Has it ever occurred to them making a big statement about this will make them the ones trying to kill America?

Ever since Ronald Reagan, the generations of Republicans have just copied the beliefs of the last ones, never inventing any new beliefs except for trying to dictate morality further.

They are essentially trying to force America to go back to a period where they were comfortable, no matter who it hurts.

One could argue that, if they feel they cannot make their America, then they will just try to destroy it in a bout of hateful pique.
