Seconding motion to pull.
Thirding.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.The five man band member pages are on a Star Wars theme. I'm putting it back until you all find something on theme that you think is better.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyBut to someone who's not familiar with Star Wars, how will they know the robots are smart?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Can we at least find one of a single robot doing something?
I think him doing some hacking/repair work would be best.

Fight smart, not fair.If I'm not mistaken, we did agree on a similar, previous Five-Man Band discussion that the only way to picture those tropes was to use a work mainstream enough to be beyond the JAF status. We ended up choosing Star Wars, because everyone and their grandmas should have seen at least the first movie, Fan Myopia aside. With that said, to put it bluntly: if someone as a -serious- reason why the SW crew should -not- be on those pages, then leave them all pictureless. Otherwise, let them be.

"We are not a stuffy encyclopedic wiki. We're a buttload more informal".I actually haven't seen it, but I think everyone (or at least lots) at least know about it.
That said, the image doesn't show the trope.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.While Star Wars is well known, some of the images don't portray the trope. Luke gets a pass because he looks like your typical pure hero type.
Han and Leia not so much on their trope page images.
Chewie...I guess works.
And you can't tell smart guy from a picture of robots period.
So some would fall under JAFAAC. I love Star Wars, but I know for a fact that we can do waaaay better.
This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk.Let's see 'em.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyResurrecting.
For all it's worth: Maybe you guys remember, a while back someone suggested an image with a very stereotypical Five-Man Band on them. After that, I made five versions with highlights:
Of course, it's not as popular as Star Wars. Heck, even I don't know where it's from, * but it's so caricaturised that I think we can work it out, especially since we can make immediate comparisons with each other.
I forgot how that thread went, maybe it stalled.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I think the current image can be confusing even to people who know Star Wars, because C-3PO isn't The Smart Guy in those movies, he's more like The Chick. Shouldn't the pic have R2-D2 alone, she's much more obviously The Smart Guy?

I do prefer Star Wars to the pics Catalogue put up .
That said, given the sheer amount of material from Star Wars, surely we can find a suitable action pose for each of the five characters? Don't just show R 2 D 2 standing still, show him doing something smart. Like hacking a computer, which he does several times during the movie.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I think Catalogue's suggestion is very good for the main Five-Man Band page, but duplicating it on every subtrope seems redundant.
Rhymes with "Protracted."I don't think Threepio is the smart guy, but Artoo is.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Couldn't we just use characters from different series' for the different parts of a Five-Man Band.
For example have Batman using the Bat-Computer for The Smart Guy. Or have Superman picking up a car for the Big Guy. Chewie could work for the Big Guy, but he has to actually be doing something.
For The Lancer, I think we should use a comic panel whether it be from Newspaper Comics, Manga, Comic Books etc.. because it's supposed to show the contrast between The Hero and The Lancer. Luke might work for The Hero, maybe. However, Han really doesn't show that. Princess Leia's the worst example of all because the caption actually admits that she doesn't fit the trope.
While the Voltron characters show the Trope (at the very least they show it better then the current pictures), having them on every page would get a little bit repetitive. It would probably work for the Five-Man Band page though.

I'd prefer these pages went imageless if we can't find good images. All I see when I look at this page is two robots and I am familiar with Star Wars: Those two are known for way too many things besides being the supposed smart guys of the group.
Eddie has ruled that these five subtropes of Five-Man Band must retain their Star Wars images.
That said, we can change them to other Star Wars images. For starters, can we determine which of the two is The Smart Guy?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Technically, he said 'They're staying until you find something better.' Don't we have a policy of no image is better than a bad image?

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
If a person that does not know enough of star wars sees this. He is only going to see to droids standing. A better image should be a comic of smart guy saying something you know smart.
