Persona 4 The Animation. No spoilers.

This thread is for discussing Persona 4 The Animation. Unlike the main thread this one is targets specifically towards newcomers to the anime and those who have not played the game.

No spoilers will be allowed.

In practice this means if a plot development hasn't been broadcast in the U.S. yet, don't talk about it.

Currently, these unwanted spoilers come from primarily from folks who have played the game. If you've played the game and want to reference stuff that happens that hasn't been shown in the anime yet, go to the other thread.

So...for someone who has never played any of the Persona games, would you recommend the anime?

With only one episode so far, I can't really say. It does skip several events but they're not terribly important events, anyway.

I followed the first episode with no problems, but it's only the first episode. A bit early yet to judge

Persona 4 has a rather sizable existing fanbase due to the games. Which makes the extreme faithfulness to the original game make a lot of sense, if you ask me.

Well thats because I started the thread when the anime first got announced.

More like "compare game with anime" thread, among other things....

Like, "I wonder if [event] will happen and how cool it would look like" and stuff.

As a person who's only played the third game, I'm amused that they went as far as to show the in-game expressions and calendar.

And I was having a major fanfap when the episode began with the Velvet Room music.

This entire first episode was basically one giant wankfest for fans.

...for me at least. Ahahaha...

My mom told me I look like an idiot giggling on my bed when she saw me watching from my cellphone.... Can't help it.

They released one trailer over a year so there was a lot of word of mouth going around for this... All 6 of them are here if ya want to watch them.

The animation isn't exactly the best quality. Maybe the animators were saving it for the later (AWESOME!) summoning of Persona. Man, that thing looked COOL! Oh, and Chie was really adorable. She kinda reminds me of Kyou.

Ara, ara dRoy-san. Is the mask to hide you un-bear-able anger that all the spoilering, people still HIGHLIGHT them like idiots?

...God, now I feel like I need to go make a P4!Inception trailer. If only there was more material available than just one episode.

My basic reaction to episode 1:
