I know people on this thread have talked about stupidity has doomed humanity as a whole and done some damage to us all. So,lets discuss why Einstein said there is two things infinite in the world"the universe and man's stupidity and I am not so sure about the universe".

Einstein had a sense of humor. That's why.

Because einstein, like any other academic, both had a thing for jokes and an understanding that people, even smart people, will sometimes do absolutely moronic things,

Humans Are Morons. Proven fact. Alright, OP answered, carry on.

Well... I suppose I could argue that Humans Are Warriors is also more or less true. Two things humans can be relied on to be good at: being stupid and being good at killing things...

Stupidity and intelligence are two different things.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.

I'd wager we're the only animal species capable of comprehending the full extent of error in anything we may do. In that sense, human stupidity is so profound because we're also smart enough to recognize it.

Witty quips are supposed to be entertaining, not completely factual.

Look, you can't make me speak in a logical, coherent, intelligent bananna.

Considering it is us humans that define 'intelligence', in both the literal and metaphorical sense, I don't think that is saying all that much.

Indeed. People aren't smart at all, really. We're just smarter than everything else on the planet.

Really, a comparative statement isn't saying much when it's not even really a good comparison...

We think we are "smart" yet most of us feel inferior to a machine that can't count to 2...

Basically, this.

Humanity is much smarter than most people give it credit for.

Quite, saying 'humans are smarter than everything else' is like having a competition amongst all the animals about who is the most rhinoceros-like of them all and then expressing surprise the rhinoceros won, again.

You know, Joy, in the rest of the developed world, there is no taboo against living with your parents in your adulthood. It's a fuck of a lot smarter than unnecessarily paying $500+ a month, so I guess the joke is on you.

Can we stop with the calling groups we don't like stupid?

And can we stop using a first person plural pronoun in that way?
