I'm okay with this image for the most part.
Fight smart, not fair. It's all right. You don't have to know anything about Superman to get it. I, for one, haven't seen a single Superman work in my life.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. It's partially indicative: It depicts a doomsayer, though without the indication that he's ignored and dismissed.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.The caption covers that, though not very strongly.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. Is there a panel from that same comic out there that shows the other Kryptonians blowing him off?
No real luck there, I did however find this gem.
That's better. My problem with the current pic, and I should, perhaps, have made it clearer, is that it doesn't show anybody being dismissed, which is the whole point of the trope. There's another trope for prophets of doom who are believed, I'm sure.
Things of mine keep getting deleted. I curse too much.^^If it were cropped so that the guy believing him weren't visible, it would be good.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyMaybe we can make the guy agreeing with Jor-El work for the pic by adding something in the caption like "Guess which of the two represents the majority opinion?" or "There's a reason it's not 'Superman and his Random Kryptonian pal!'"
^ I tried, but the image does suffer for it. I tried my hand at Stalin-style revisionist history though. How's it look?
The Soviet Russia version approves of me.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Second one is good.
The Stalinized version looks very good.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.What? Just because I censored the opinion of one of the few Kryptonians with the common sense to see the truth and defy the ruling council, thus helping to paint the entire planet as a people composed entirely of Gullible Lemmings doesn't make me a bad person! ...
I'm going to the special hell, aren't I?
(This has me far more amused than I deserve! )
It's excellent. I find it really amusing as well.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.All agreed to go with the Stalin's image?
Things of mine keep getting deleted. I curse too much. Thanks, that made my day.
Stalin image is great.
Reaction Image RepositoryThere haven't been any other suggested images, but this one seems to have some support. Should we look further, or call it a hole in one?

Rhymes with "Protracted."I really think it's a hole in one.
Earnest, I want the enhance button you used to do that. I've got some old photos, and in one of them my mom has her back turned to the camera. I really want to turn it around so her face shows.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I'm calling it. The pic is up, potholed, and tagged; caption?
Voting captionless.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Sure! I used Photolshevik Image Decapitalizater Of The State.
Just, uh, be aware that she may end up looking like a sturdy commune tractor driver.
Caption idea (It's not very good, but it's the best I have): Well, yeah. Earthquakes are scary!
It's funny because he was frightened by... Oh, never mind.

Things of mine keep getting deleted. I curse too much.*snerk* I like that first one.
The picture is just a face and a Jor El. Or somebody. I don't keep up with Superman. So, what to do?
