I never considered any of those stupid Live-Action movies to be canon. I never understood why the shippers of the fandom would use the first live-action movie as there basis. And yeah, Sparky is pretty bad. We already had a Flanderized Cosmo and Sparky manages to take that Up To Eleven. Really makes me wonder how different this show could of been if they used Cosmo's personality from the pilot when the show first began.

I don't recall anything really being different about Cosmo in the Oh Yeah Cartoons episodes.
He was still portrayed as an idiot then, right?
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."From what I remember definitely not, he also wasn't as energetic if I am remembering the pilot correctly either...

His voice also didn't want to make me bang my head on a brick wall.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!Yeah, if anything, 1st gen Cosmo was more of the sophisticated Butt-Monkey to everyone.
For what reason?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceGood reasons, I'm sure.
If you didn't watch this show - you grew up right and made some good decisions by now, IMHO.
I know I haven't yet, knowing I have wasted my time with this POS show in the past.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.He came off as sophisticated...and calm in the pilot, his voice seemed to be slightly different as well. He wasn't an idiot but the pilot diden't make him seem as smart as Wanda either
Cosmo early on was merely childish rather than utterly stupid. Wanda was also far less uptight.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Well, now that I have seen what I will consider the finale to the series, I will not come within 100 miles of this show.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSmart boy. I'm being serious, so take this -
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Thanks. I'll wear it with pride.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThis show needs a reboot (reimagination?) badly or at least to be canceled.
I was sad when it was first canceled but now I think it was for the best. It's quite sad because early FOP (believe it or not) had very cool character development, hinted hidden depths , a cool unique mythology and a very likable cast. Now it's but a shadow of what it could have been.
Current FOP simply doesn't match current shows like mlpfim , gravity falls, adventure time nor phineas and Ferb (those are great AND they also have strong storytelling) . As much as I love Butch this show could be amazing if they rebooted it and
- Got back to their roots (including getting rid of foop and specially Sparky)
- Took seriously their audience
- Took seriously their universe and characters without losing the humor
- Get new writrers that love the show.
Even Trixie the one dimensional popular kid had a lot of depth hinted early on (that was sadly forgotten).
I know poof might have many fans but the sad truth is that he was only used as a rating boost and as of now all characters are one dimensional.

Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love. Not while Hartman works there, I'm afraid.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatPoof was okay initially but he did become more meh later on. I really would of liked something with a similar plot to Channel Chasers that would show us Poof all grown up, would of been interesting. I really think Wishology should of ended the show at this point.

Supports cartoons being cartoony! That's exactly why I never want to think about it again.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI found a video on You Tube with various clips of Cosmo's old voice from the older episodes. Much easier on the ears compare to his voice now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYp9e3SJJLw
Seriously, does another voice actor voice him now?
Supports cartoons being cartoony! It's the same guy.
They just changed his voice in between the Oh Yeah Cartoons episodes and the actual show.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."You're kidding! Geez.. He sure is good at sounding nothing like he did before

Supports cartoons being cartoony!I was watching one of the season 1 episodes a while back.Man Cosmo was a lot less annoying back then,in terms of personality and voice(nothing against his voice actor.I'm a fan of his work, but Cosmo sounds more pitchy and annoying now compared to back then).
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013I enjoyed his voice in the pilot WAYYYY more due to him sounding like a classy yet bumbling business man.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justicea lot of people thought Cosmo was voiced by Phil Hartman in the older episodes. I could kinda see why though. Especially the shorts.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!Wasn't he already dead?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatNow, that's what I thought; Phil Hartman had died before he had any chance to take the role...
That, plus Cosmo in the Oh Yeah Cartoons episodes doesn't even really sound like Phil Hartman.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."
That was the series finale, I think, to Jimmy Neutron the series.
Though the Power Hour episode was definitely supposed to be it for Fairly Odd Parents.
