Gonna blade out first to beat the rest ahead! Haruhi-clone-tan's got an anime! Cheers! Now it's a Usagi Drop clone with Haruhi-clone as female lead.

You got to hand it to light novelists: When it works, IT WORKS!

Hmmm, i'm kind of in two minds about it. On the one hand it has an interesting setup, on the other hand, creepy loli fanservice.

This show isn't all that good.

On the other hand, it seems to have actually put some work into the set-up, so they're not just gonna go right in and devolve this into pure fanservice or harem stuff are they?

*sigh* and it seems no male protagonist in this kind of anime can ever find an unoccupied bathroom.

[up]Nope. It's like Usagi Drop with a bit of fanservice. And when they need to be serious the story actually is.

The premise is interesting, but the characters are terrible. I can't see myself watching it.

[up][up][up]This is the first show I recall thinking that the fanservice actually got in the way.

I heard this show was Usagi Drop for guys. Considering how I liked the Usagi Drop that was for girls, I had to check it out.

S'alright.

TBQH, if the manga adaptations are any indication, stuff like that will be minimal once they install curtains in the dorm room.

I still don't get the Haruhi Clone accusations.

Sora has none of the personality traits. She's at most a character with a similar design physically (and not even the same since she's younger).

Yuri was a pretty clear Haruhi Clone what with the attitude, design, and setting (brigade chief).

I'm trying to think of other possible "Haruhi Clones". Maybe Hitagi from Bakemonogatari? And that's a huge stretch. I wouldn't call her a Haruhi Clone, but it's the closest I could think of other than Yuri.

Truthfully Haruhi is a pretty complex character, she's hard to clone. She's got that Manic Pixie Dream Girl side, and then there's a little bit of Broken Bird mixed in, plus being a bit of a Jerkass (she's not really Tsundere).

I'm not saying that there won't be clones, considering Haruhi's impact on anime we should expect attempts to clone her... but a clone is more than a similar character design. I mean, Nagi doesn't look that much like Shana, yet we think of Nagi as a Shana Clone. Yuki isn't really that close to Rei, but we'd include her as a Rei Clone.

You don't need perfect correspondence to be "clone". Your standard Rei clone has completely different character development than the original Rei, for example, yet are still easily identifiable. I would think energetic bossiness would be enough for a Haruhi clone, not that I can think of any.

If it is energy and bossiness almost every tsundere would be Haruhi clone.

What make Haruhi clone is lack of common sense and ability drag others into that.

Hina will kill us with sugar...

Usagi drop was better, and this anime is more like Usagi Drop for MALE TEENS... and lolicons

Can't deny that the story is more or less a general anime show with a bit of seemingly nice drama, but not the best.

For Haruhi Clones I think the lagrange anime (the one with the girl and the robot) is a bit more near, but not exactly, another mixed char with lots of tropes.

After seeing ch2, this anime is like 3.5/5 (and thx to the loli shana cuteness), I expect anyone to do a sugar U Nfree gif from her. If you find it, post it here, pls.
