I've been playing Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 for a bit, and holy crap, is this game an improvement over the other two.

Moving on, what are your favourite new mobile suits? Mine is the Unicorn, because NT-D mode is amazing.

Unicorn is a goddamn beast, but I have to say that I like that unpronouncable one that Marida pilots because, well, it's Marida.

Wait, what? The other DLC isn't out on Play Station Network last time I checked.

Oh, sucks. A bunch of 'em are out on XBL. I got Marida and her bastard child o....

That was a very bad phrase to choose.

Ahem, her mech that is the results of stuffing Quin Mantha and Quebeley into a blender. Bunch of ones from 00 are also there, but I hate 00, so I don't care for them.

Real men play as Ball.

Nah, I prefer either Gundam Epyion, Zeta Gundam, or Char's Zaku II (mostly because of it's awesome kick special). Some of the generic mobile suits are pretty fun to play as too, even if they start pretty weak. Some of them are pretty unique gameplay wise I found. (I never expected to win a battle in a Dynasty Warriors game by running hundreds of people over with a mech in a giant wheel)

I really can't take the big wheel mech seriously.

That and now that I know the real story behind Glemy's mass-production Quebeleys, that man is my number one target every time he appears on the field.

[up][up]It helps that I remember from the first game where Glemy always had a smug look on his face. I wanted to kill that guy even before I figured out his backstory.

[up]I could never take Acguy seriously. Ball and Zaku Tank? Good for lols. Mech in Wheel? Actually kinda fun, even if goofy. Kapool? Silly looking, but I can get it. Acguy? Pushes it too far for me.

Glemy was always The Scrappy and not worth my time in the other games. Offhand Backhand was something he became quite familiar with. And it wasn't just knowing who the pilots of the mass-production units were. It was what happened to Marida that put him on the top of my "Ignore All Else and Make Him Dead" list.

[up]Yeah, I've always went after Glemy too every time his worthless hide appears for the same reason you stated + in SRW Impact, he appeared out of nowhere on the other side of the map I was on in a turn limit mission and he didn't even bother to move to me. I didn't make it in time to wipe out his ass and I had to do 3 hours of work over again. I've been after him like a bat out of hell every time he appears in any sort of game he's in ever since.

Also, I really like playing as the Kapool, Reborns Gundam, and Turn X.

I spread my wings, fly away. The wind sweeps me off my feet, blowing me away yeah. Trees whispering to me. I'm feeling free now.

That was pretty trashy of him to do so, yeah.

Being a smug and overly-ambitious bastard trying to take over the Neo Zeon movement—Haman's really more sympathetic than you get to see in the games, I've discovered—wasn't really that much of a hate-garnering ploy, though it did permanently turn him off to ever wanting to make nice with the guy. Having an army of Puru clones to serve as his pawns and living shields rubbed me absolutely wrong, as I take a very Skiratan outlook on clones, and I immediately took a liking to Puru way back in DWG 1 from her campaign mode with Domon and Zechs. She was like the instant endearing little sister. I don't particularly care that the worst stuff about Marida happened after he died, I'm still blaming it on him, lol.

This stuff's been burning me so bad since about Tuesday that I've had a really bad plot seed for a fanfic stuck in my head since then, lol.

Do the online missions seems a bit lacking to anyone else?

Yeah. The stages feel really empty and I'm not really feeling the teamwork from the mode. At least it's good for getting money and good plans!

[up]That's pretty much what I deem the point of online to be. Here I was hoping they'd have a campaign co-op thing. But yeah, as said, good money and parts, so...

So the new one's finally out? I really need to get a 360.

I like the Burning Gundam, but I don't like either of the English or Japanese V As for Domon.

Actually, I don't like the Burning Gundam, as a playable unit I mean. Its big Burning Cyclone (I think that was the name?) spin charge attack is pretty nice, but the rest of it's moveset is really bleh to me. Unfortunately, I have to beat Original Mode as Domon in the first game to unlock Master Asia. Fun.

Not sure if they improved it in later games, but I doubt it.

[up]It was a powerhouse in the second game and the only one I ever played. I got it to the point where I could kill entire fields of enemies just by boosting[lol]

From what I remember in the first game, he wasn't very good at clearing fields but was really good at killing other whatever they were called (commanders or generals or something). His combos are all pretty nice, especially the one where he makes a couple of clones of himself and can do three times the damage.

Ace is the term you're looking for. I still haven't figured out how to do the triple clones thing for Domon. I did it like twice on accident. Me, I personally dislike his ridiculously-short range with 80% of his combos. I prefer to have a bit of reach on the enemy. S'why I like most MS that come with funnels or things like Epyon, 00 Raiser, and Unicorn.

The clones come from his level 3 combination SP attack.

[up][up]If you work with him for a couple of hours you can get him ridiculously fast and powerful and most of his combos cover a lot of ground actually.

I think by the time I had to give DW:G2 back to my friend I could get around entire maps in a single boost and take out Aces in a matter of seconds[lol]

I am not a big fan of the missions in general... I mean look at the history missions... they are all crap compared to DWG 2 I also miss the character specific story mode missions, but in general the gameplay is good.

00 Gundam is a serious beast... get it so you can stay in Trans-AM all the time and bam instant monster.

Will the games ever move beyond the UC, do you think? Since the campaign is an explicit crossover again, I sort of hoped that they would start mixing in grunt suits from the other universes and maybe give the non-UC pilots a little progression.

Well, you know how all the favoritism for UC is.

Ah! I see a ZAFT grunt and Death Army among the mobile suits here. I am pleased.
