Like I said, I accept the edits as reasonable. The justifying comments stung though.

The image being pulled didn't make sense to me as I thought it demonstrated the trope about as much as can be expected.

It would have been nice for you to stop by and actually mention that, you know?

Also, "sekrit anime language" is bordering on being really offensively insulting to anime fans.

(and you seriously can't expect us to not at least mention Pettanko on Petite Pride, can you? They are very related, and, you know, linking them would increase awareness of BOTH terms, thus making the term less "sekrit")

Related tropes should be mentiond in the related to/contrast part wich is normaly at the end of a description.

edit: Pettanko is mentiond there.

[up][up] It was appropriate to remove Pettanko from the main body of the description.

It was the justifying comments that really caught my eye.

Thinking it over I guess I was being oversensitive.

Still, it's a little frustrating to feel like your fandom is being targeted. Even if Eddie didn't mean it that way, there are a lot of editors who do feel that way and use similar language.

Would the What Do You Mean, It's Not Awesome? route work? I don't know if Konata's really supposed to be a AA, but it looks better(could also use a more epic font).

[up][up] The "AA" would need an explanation, which would actually devalidate it more.

Pettanko should be the super-trope / index to this and A-Cup Angst in which these two were split from... That's the way it's been since then and what was decided then during the split. They are the two pettanko tropes.

Pettanko isn't a trope. It's just a fanspeak term. There's nothing tropable about it that's not covered by A-Cup Angst and Petite Pride. Cup size is not a trope.

It is not Fan Speak... It was a trope that got split into two tropes with the name staying as disabig and index/ supertrope to both of them.

You know how many Pettanko jokes get thrown around even for those not in the subtropes? Tons.

Making jokes doesn't make a trope. I make jokes about my roommate all the time.

Jokes about it don't make it a trope. If you want to make a trope for other people mocking flat chested women, then you can take it to YKTTW, but it still doesn't make just having a flat chest a trope.

It's not a trope for the same reason having large knockers isn't a trope. There has to be more to more to a trope than just chest size. That's why the two actual tropes were split off from the Fanspeak/Disambig page.

I have to disagree with you Raso.

Pettanko fits better as a fanspeak page.

It's still not just Fan Speak though a Pettanko or Flat Chested Girl comes up all the time (and not connected to the two-subtropes) from being able to fit into small spaces, Token Loli, a counterpart to the Buxom Is Better babe to make her stand out even more, etc. And it's always commented on or extremely blatant.

The subtropes are what she might feel about the supertrope. However how she feels about the supertrope is not required for it to get brought up or invoked by the universe in some way like "she can easily be a Bifauxnen because she is a Pettanko no Sarashi required" or such.

(as well as the very entrenched usage of the term.... Going to start another "I hate anime" flame war really fast.)

You are referring to a number of possible tropes to YKTTW, but Petite Pride is the true counterpart to Buxom Is Better because it's about flat chests being more desirable. It's not about anime or not anime. It's about having a small chest in general is just Not A Trope. Just like a large chest is Not A Trope. So it's a fanspeak and disambig page because the term is used in the fandom, but it's not used for something that's a trope.

There are many tropes associated with it, just like there are many tropes associated with Blue Eyes. But there's a reason we're cutting the Blue Eyes page and replacing it with a bunch of dedicated trope pages for those tropes.

We are treating it exactly the same as we treat any other page about a body part without a single distinct trope attached, only better because it actually gets a page and a definition for people unfamiliar with anime.

What, why are we cutting Blue Eyes?

There's no TRS thread on it, and it's a personality associated with Blue Eyes trope.

It's being broken up because of all the different subtropes being crammed onto one page.

[up][up] There's a TRS thread on all the eye colour tropes. I'm taking all the split bits through the YKTTW right now. Then I'm going to move onto all the other eye colour tropes because they're all being abused for "People with X colour eyes."

Well, save red. That one is done all ready.

Blue Eyes will be replaced by:

This is to stop their rampant misuse and lacking of proper personality types.

@60: I think I saw a commercial for "half size" bras mention it(a long, long time ago, back when I actually watched TV), but I'm pretty sure that AA's the size at which there's really no point in wearing one.
