If it's time I need to kill that could be interrupted at any given moment? Peggle. Otherwise World Of Warcraft.
i. hear. a. sound.Picture Telephone. Minecraft is also good.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorSvetlograd. DaVinci's Secret. Rainbow Kingdom
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.If I've just got a couple minutes, I usually breed Pokemon or fiddle with a random puzzle game. If I've got an extended period of time with nothing better to play, I'll download some F 2 P MMO.
But somehow,◊Eletale Monsters. It's a lot of fun, and is a slow game(but I can speed it up), so it's just nice to have in the background.
Quest 64 threadiBubble Shooter, on my iPhone. I normally play this when I'm waiting for something, since I can turn it off really quickly (since it's an app) and it's also stupidly fun, even if only for a few minutes.

"My brain used to be a little bitch, so I mugged it's ass." -kegisakOn my iPhone, Angry Birds and Connect Four.
On my PC, Team Fortress 2.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Dr Mario, Tetris, Elite Beat Agents when I only need to kill a few minutes. Super Mario Bros, Punch Out, and Sonic The Hedgehog for longer periods.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)Kirby Squeak Squad.
I've got Puzzle Fighter on my phone. Perfect time waster for me. ^_^
Portable games which I enjoy when commuting, traveling, waiting, etc:
iOS: Game Dev Story and Pocket Academy
PSP: Lumines, Harvest Moon: Boy and Girl, and Suikoden (from Playstation Store)
original DS: With actual DS carts, New Mario, Dragon Quest 4-6 remakes, Retro Game Challenge, and Super Scribblenauts. With the GBA slot, the various Final Fantasy remakes, Shining Force remake, Summon Night Swordcraft Story 2, and The Sims Bustin Out. With a flash cart and translation patches, the first two Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side games and Loveplus.
If I'm parked in an uncomfortable waiting room chair and had the foresight to bring my DS along, either Etrian Odyssey 3 or Super Scribblenauts.
At home, if it's time to kill that is likely to be interrupted at any second (it usually is), I'll load up some mindless actiony-shooty-type game
If I need time to melt I boot up a Paradox Game or Total War game. They eat up time like... something that eats up a lot of time.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Sudoku and Stair Dismount. Especially Sudoku. Lots and lots of Sudoku.
While waiting for vehicle service and the like, Tactics Ogre for the PSP.
I used to use Angry Birds to kill time when I out, but I did that so much it became boring.
If I'm at home I tend to jump onto Halo and play a few games of multiplayer if I have time to kill.
I have a podcast! I think that you should listen to it.Monster Rancher games. If I've got nothing better to do, I can just boot up one of the three portable installments in the series and just spend a few minutes training a monster and/or doing a few battles. If I'm really bored, I might even just try passwords in the GBA games to see if I can revive anything with good stats.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaMinecraft, Though sometimes I kill a bit too much time.
Some random flashes on Kongregate.
