It appears to have selective gravity or something. Now that's confusing even for me."

Bowser had followed the group to the statue and saw the images. The darkness that showed up and suddenly blocked everything out reminded him of the last time something similar happened.

"So this is where that Dark Star thing came from..." he muttered.

"I have no idea." Shawn begins munching on his pineapple.

Tyrell decides that since there doesn't seem to be anything interesting going on right now he may as well practice his skills.

Tyrell starts juggling fireballs.

Shawn nearly chokes. After coughing for a little, he mutters, "I really shouldn't be surprised anymore."

"Oh, sorry, I forgot. I am what is called a fire adept, an elemental magician of sorts. I keep forgetting how jumpy non-adepts can get about that."

Man, I'm REALLY handling my first party well aren't I? I must be coming off as an ignorant, idiotic, insensitive jerk!

"Look. Remember what I said about thinking you know more than you really do? I'm causing you alarm because I don't know what you're used to. Why don't you tell me a bit about your world and I'll tell you about mine? That way we won't have as many misunderstandings."

Teridax looked round at the crystals, he had never seen their like neither did he understand their purpose.

"Just gets more and more bizzare".

"You've seen nothing yet..."

Teridax nodded in agreement.

"I came here ready to fight for my life but looks as if I'm here for a sightseeing trip..........."

Unbeknownst to the Champions, their exploration of this strange and alien metropolis had not gone unnoticed. Perched atop the apex of a spire not far from the pile of crystals which had shown the Champions distorted reflections of their own memories, something angular with a hunched and seemingly-feral gait peered down at them with the fierce, unblinking gaze of a patient predator. Its sharp-edged, animalistic body glinted faintly in the light of the two suns, this glow helping to obscure its body from view, and sharp talons flexed ominously with the suppressed urge to rip and tear.

It would be so easy to kill them now, distracted as they were; to simply leap down from this great height and land in their midst, then lay into the fools before they had any chance to realize what had just occurred. It would have been so easy to do...and that was precisely why the beastly entity decided to stay its hands for the time-being; an unwitting opponent was no fun at all. Besides-which, the orders of its master had been clear and explicit on this point; it was to observe and follow them, and not to attack...yet.

And so it watched and waited, eagerly anticipating the very nanosecond when it would be free to give its violent impulses the release they craved so dearly...

Nanoha glanced back in the direction of the portal, then looked around at the others. She wasn't really sure what they could do now. The crystal pile didn't seem like a Lost Logia.

"Should we go through the portal?"

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

"Yeah, we should. What could go wrong." Shotaro said as he entered the portal.

He soon woke up. He felt cold and numb. He looked at his hands, only to see that they've become metallic. He tried to scream, but the scream did not exit his mouth. Only in his mind did he hear himself scream. He then noticed the hands. One hand was black, and the other green. Just like the Rider he was before, Double. Shotaro calmed as he walked away. What he didn't know, was that he had just become a lifeform known as a Vehicon.

"You the little girl with the mushroom on her head?" Fluttershy responded to Cletus. "I don't know. Do you think something happened to her when she went into those dungeons with you?" Worry was clear in her voice.

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HOTTING HELPY!!

The Doctor sees Garland. Now this is odd. He doesn't seem like the type to make friends. "Well hello Garland. You need something?"

"Sorry. Its not your fault. I mean, I should have seen this coming, after all, I'm a psychic."

"I am more concerned about the shadow that apparently made this city the abandoned and broken place that it is. Whatever once lived here was utterly destroyed. I don't want the same to happen to us. I have a... task to fulfil before I can rest."

"I heard that others that you at least went through something like this before. How did it end?"

He turned around. Those images... they were strange. It felt as if something had touched his mind for a moment there - something he didn't know.

I really shouldn't be surprised by now... Putting the thought of it out of his head, Link stepped through the portal -

When he came to, the first thing he heard was a whirr as his optics came back online.

What was that - oh.

Oh, NO. His hands... why were they metal? Why was he suddenly so... so clunky? What was going on?

Maximal Link stood up. He looked very much like his Hylian self, with pointed ears, angular, elfin features and a green hat - but that was it. His skin was metallic silver, and where once his tunic was, there now was green metallic paint. The symbol of the Triforce was emblazoned on his left hand.

"What is going on?"

"You're a Venus Adept? Awsome!" Tyrell says with complete sincerity.

Nanoha paused before passing into the portal, and hesitated. She glanced back at everyone else, and stepped away. She wasn't sure if she wanted to pass through just yet.

"So... what do you think is past this portal?" she asked, basically to everyone.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

Jak had mostly stayed silent, but happened to walk over by the Doctor just when the explanation was given. The explanation stopped him dead in his tracks, leaving him capable of saying only one word. "What."

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.

"So in the end, they allowed you to leave." Just as Shinryu gave me exit. "Well, it could be worse. I get enough battle to stave off boredom, although nothing truly challenging... yet!"

He let out a hearty chuckle. "The Cycle of Battle is my eternal fate, then! It will follow me wherever I go!" He sighed. "Only death will pardon me from my sword."

He looked over at Jak. "Omnicidal Maniacs are hardly new. I used to work alongside three of them. For some reason, they didn't get along, even though you'd think they shared a goal."
