I still think the biggest problem would be on the social side since they'll have the public of countless countries around the world protesting against their child soldiers.

Something which the ninja themselves won't really care about, something which the public can't do shit about, something which basically becomes completely meaningless.

People protest about child soldiers today yet they still exist.

Child Soldiers are already a thing in Naruto canon in the first place.

Just who the hell do you think your main characters are?!

They're teens - and, more commonly among main characters, pre-teens - that work for what basically amounts to the national military.

I was responding to Archivist's post, from which I got the (perhaps false) impression he was forgetting that as many Naruto characters as not are child soldiers... and that we hardly see anyone In-Universe putting up any real fuss about it.

I think the idea is that people in our world would, in fact, put up a fuss.

Could you remind me, what is it about? Neither the title nor the on-page description explain very much.

Basically an alternate reality where I don't have to bother having Kaguya in it, she still existed but won't be making an appearance. The story description could refer to one of about three or four people, probably.

It's nice to not have to worry about Kaguya.

Though I do tend to acknowledge that she exists and can be revived, I also take steps to make it impossible.

Like, for instance, in Three Jerks and a Scarecrow, you have to get through Naruto to do that. And since he is now Gilgamesh... well... good luck with that.

Yeah, I'm going to have to stack the deck pretty hard against Madara which threw me for a bit but then I remembered Gyuuki would know everything and he's best buds with B.

Making a world of intelligent and competent people is already stacking the deck pretty heavily against Madara. The downside of the original series being an Idiot Plot is that the villains also need a major boost in competence to compensate, even bigger than the heroes', because, well, the villain should always have the upper hand one way or another.

Unless your story is built around the villain being the underdog, anyway, or it's more character driven than story driven.

You know, something I've noticed is that in my fics, Sasuke tends to be the weakest, but most well balanced member of the team. Not necessarily mentally, but he also tends to wind up being the voice of reason in my fics for some reason. I suppose it stems from my dislike of what Sasuke became, and the fact that I like his concept enough to play with it. Hell, he's pretty much the main character in Expendable Heroes, the Only Sane Man in Three Jerks and a Scarecrow as well as the genderflipped version, is pretty much also the main character of Konoha no San Yuri...

I also seem to pair Naruto and Sasuke a lot. I mean, they're so close that most people think Expendable Heroes is a yaoi fic, Naruto is head over heels in love with the female Sasuke in Konoha no San Yuri, Naruto's probably gonna wind up banging both him and Sakura at some point in Three Jerks and a Scarecrow (and yes, this is confirmation that Naruto is bi in that one, as if his obvious crush on Haku wasn't enough) and in the Princess, the Heiress and the Martial Pacifist Team 13 is that female Sasuke's harem (much like how Shirou and Saber were Rin Tohsaka's harem in FSN's UBW route)...

Well... the only person other than Itachi that Sasuke appears to even acknowledge the existence of is Naruto, so...

By the by, do you guys remember back when the Naruto Fan Dumb was posting all sorts of calculations based on made up information, assumptions, uninformed guesswork and exaggerations?

It'll be ok, Madara has the blessing of god on his side, all the hidden lore, decades of paranoid scheming and a hundred thousand immortal shapeshifting Zetsu pretending to be the cult of Jashin.

Which should still lose against a remotely competent Naruto, because Naruto is so insanely broken he makes Madara look positively balanced, and the only reason he didn't curbstomp everything and everyone in canon was that he wasn't smart enough to put two and two together when given a calculator.

Guerrilla tactics, bro. He doesn't want to fight Naruto.

How do you Guerrilla fight someone who is literally a One-Man Army?

Don't let him realize he's being attacked.

It's simple, you're just thinking about it in the wrong way. The Zetsu aren't for fighting Naruto, they're just there to put pressure on the villages, mostly by saughtering peasants and such, and bring about Madara's win condition.

Again. One Man Army. Naruto can put dozens of clones out, which can move at ludicrous speeds and take out hundreds of Zetsu on their own, if Naruto is smarter than dirt.

You're better off having Madara be subtle, because despite being as massively overpowered as he is, he doesn't come anywhere near close to the amount of brute force Naruto has, and if Naruto is smart, well, he is more overpowered than the Saiyan Race, comparatively speaking.

Good thing I'm gimping Naruto by not letting him have shadow clones, then, and the jutsu itself now has a massive downside so I wouldn't be able to exploit the reverse exp share hack. It also handily lets me explain why Tobirama sacrificed his life fighting those 20 Cloud guys instead of summoning a bunch of zombies and legging it, good old early onset dementia from SC overuse.

It won't all be pillage and slaughter, give me a little credit here.
