The All-Purpose 2814 Fanfiction Thread

It's really more like I have little to add...

Oh yeah, quick question, got any suggestions for a world-threatening entity? Been trying to think of one for an original story, and so far I've already done eldritch abomination in the sea, eldritch abomination from space, and evil overlord. I don't want to reuse those for a while, and my setting has no demons, so...

Well, anyway, gonna go back to writing 2814...

A telepath who tries to subtly influence world leaders into starting a nuclear war so that the radiation would awaken a Godzilla-type monster or something.

Nice, but I need one appropriate to a magic-heavy high-fantasy setting.

Though I suppose I could try using the telepath as a starter boss. Maybe I can try ripping off the Vord...

Someone who gathers together all of the previously defeated eldritch abominations? A necromancer if they died, a summoner if they were banished, etc.

Edit: Saw the "didn't want to reuse eldritch abominations" thing. I got nothing.

Maybe I'll go with the fantasy equivalent of 'space aliens attacking'. All my necromancers are True Neutral army officers and all my summoners make their own summons from childhood memories and good feelings, so that's out...

Yeah, alien invasion. They're the magic equivalent of the Borg, going around and consuming worlds to add unique magics to their own...

Already did the Eldritch abomination thing. Huh. When you take demons out of the equation, the number of things you can threaten a high fantasy magic heavy setting with on a global scale drops way down...

Sad to say how true it is.

Sure, there's still magical thermonuclear war... but that sorts of kills any chance of pure Black-and-White Morality... so it's either eldritch abominations, mad gods, cults, or aliens...

How bout a glitch in the multiverse, evil clones and such?

I suppose... but really, my original story setting is already too overdosed already. Every time I think of a new storyline for it, I start with "What's a new form of rule magic i can make?" and gets worst from there. You've read 2814. It's basically a minimalist, stripped-down version of my default setting when it comes to writing...

Though I guess I can make a new setting, let in go on for a while, then have a red skies crossover...

Has it gotten far enough for your heroes to take on a god?

Some of my heroes are built to EAT them, so it's not much of a challenge. Though I'm fond of the one where the gods regularly go to war among themselves, and are divided into good and evil factions. The Good faction contains the Axe-Crazy Blood Knight goddess of war, the used car salesman god of commerce, the spin doctor goddess of communications, law and betrayal, and the goddess art, fiction, dreams and lies. The evil faction contains the goddess of love and devotion, the god of healing, the goddess of lust, trust and marriage, the goddess of knowledge, the goddess of family and the god of law and order. The gods of evil and death are neutral and think the others should just do thier duty. Oh, and the heads of both sides are expies of Madokami and Homucipher.

It's basically me messing around with god stereotypes, chosen ones, and the battle of good against evil.

My intended ending is for The Chosen One to switch sides to team evil because they have a good point.

Plot idea for 2814: Hakuno (Fate/Extra protag) could be a good antagonist that doesn't come across as evil... She (because female is better and might unintentionally seduce 2814 Gil) could be like Julian from Prisma 3rei with access to a large number of servants, only in her case all servants are the real deal with maxed out stats (and also like her). Hmmm, Moon Cell could be something that Usagi SHOULD have access to but doesn't? Hakuno could be the equivalent of a server technician that worked for the royal family back in the day?

Leo Harway, the Yggdlmennia, and other characters from the games/spinoffs could be clocktower magi. Justice League/Magical Girl Alliance are called on to stop "Moon Cell faction", after they attack somewhere only to find out midway that the clocktower just wants access to it for nefarious purposes/to have a trump card against superheroes (many people would be interested, actually). Lex Luthor likely to be involved.

Alternate idea: Jurai/Deviluke tries to annex Earth as a territory since members of their royal family constantly "vacation" there. Other interstellar empires take notice. Green Lantern Guardians decide it would actually be a good measure for peacekeeping depending on who actually annexes them. Nanoha's workload would decrease by a third at least. Darkseid and certain others are pricks. Politics! Economics! Most importantly- Momo, Nemesis and Mea face off against Kuro and Paru in trolling their allies!

Basically, both ideas are "enemies are nowhere near as bad as we thought" scenarios. After a Madoka-themed storyline, I figure you don't need to go any darker for a while.

Here is an idea for introducing Bazzet to 2814, use it or don't. Bazett attacks Luvia's manor to retreive the cards, same as in 2@wei, but the first hole she blows inthe place is into the bathhuse where Lancer is bathing and starts trying to hit on her.

Actually, I had the idea that it would be Bazette versus Lancer. My takeaway from Bazette is that she's basically doing Cuchulain cosplay, with the runes and Fragarach. Lancer shows her how he used to do it back in the day. At some point, he borrows/takes back Fragarach from her and shows her hows it's used as an actual mountain-cutting sword...

I'm leaning to wards not using the Moon Cell itself, since I dislike VR scenarios. It's Heroes are fair game, though.

I'm keeping an eye on Apocrypha too. In DC, Frankenstein is a superhero, but as Bishoujostein is my preference, I think I'll have her around instead.

No Jurai and Deviluke. I've used up my tolerance for the former due to bad stories from the 90s, and the latter... well, I might take Yami and Mikan, and Loli Lala is growing on me, but the others are of doubtful existence. Thinking of bringing back the Sailor Stars though, as well as an awkward moment where Sailor Galaxia shows up and goes around apologizing to everyone...

Alternately, I could do a flashback sequence of 'Boys Club: Melty Blood', where they meet Shiki and Vampire Satsuki... I'd rather leave that in the air until they release the official Satsuki Route, which going by Melty Blood seems the closest the series has to a Harem End. Maybe I'll just do Melty Blood X then... mini-Osiris is so cute...

Now, I just need to get past this current arc...

Objection! Bazett uses runes because that is the branch of magecraft the Fraga clan has practiced for centuries since the age of the gods. She uses Fragarach because that is a sourcery trait the Fraga have had for just as long.

I'm not too sure if the Fraga's version of Fragarach can even be used as a normal sword. It's a single use weapon a Fraga makes by soaking a lead ball in their blood for a period of time. Bazett could only make something like five a year.

I'm not fond of cherry picking some characters of a franchise into existence and not the others, because no character comes from a vacuum. I'm of the 'Either buy the whole package or nothing of it'school of thought. Besides, that's playing favorites, and I hate playing favorites. I try to give everyone as fair a play as I can regardless of personal preferences.

If you really only want Yami then just call her Eve and make her a bounty hunter. She's originally from Black Cat after all, they just reset her character arc when they put her in TLR.

Also, SCM, I gotta ask... are you going to prevent characters from aging? Because it seems like you're only going for loli characters.

EDIT: Checking back again not that much time has passed in-story, so I don't know where I got the "it's like pokemon!" idea from.

It's only been about a or so year in-story. Ala Alba are in highschool now, and I plan to have them all age accordingly. Planning to go with one season of Justice League being one year, so Nanoha would be about 15-16 in the Justice League Unlimited finale.
