I don't really think those two girls would be able to comfortably sleep next to each other.

This game really is dangerous if it can overwrite your mind like that.

Mind hacking sounds like a potential problem outside of the accelerated world too.

And the implication that those two girls are possibly years older than they appear, did surprise me. I just hadn't considered how long they could stay logged in since we only get to see them online for short periods.

Though the possibility of a Burst Linker's mental age not matching up with their physical age has a surprising potential for drama. It could be... interesting.

But I don't see it coming up like that, only as thing to be occasionally referenced, unfortunately.

Same, I'd like to see that aspect of Brain Burst explored more.

Can't say I'm interested in the current plot thread, and overall I'm meh about the episode. I still find it hard to immerse myself in the Serious Business aspect of Brain Burst, and the characters and their interactions rarely evoke a strong reaction from me.

I keep seeing Accelerator when the Anguished One appears.

After reading a decent discussion thread on /a/ about this series, I guess I'm sold. I heard some really interesting stuff about Brain Burst and just why they're fighting so desperately for it. I'm just hoping the anime executes all the interesting things well enough to keep it going.

And shame, no Accel World this week.

Oh well, at least it is a 20 something episodes series instead of the usual 12/13 episodes.

None? I thought I saw episode ten raws floating around.

Accel World is on break this week, so I'm fairly certain there are no ep 10 raws.

Unless someone managed to get their hands on them before the air date.

In other news, the fan-translation of the books is coming along quickly and we have started the second book with the previous episode.

This means I just "spoiled" myself for the next 1 1/2 arcs because book 2 is completely translated and 3 is going quickly. I'm not sure if I like that or not...

Oh, and in the original version of the Ash Roller re-match, Ash Roller ended up skidding along the ground and hit the bike (so the chance of getting a KO from following up the attack was significantly less) and the field prevented entering buildings so the roof was the only place Silver Crow could hide. The anime is still quite a good Pragmatic Adaptation, but it is amazing how much Fridge Logic is All There in the Manual.

Actually, IIRC, the second book and the half or so of the third book were already translated before the anime started. I know I certainly read the whole second book back in March/April, and half of the third book was up at that time.

True, but now it doesn't feel like I am skipping the rest of book 1 when I started reading book 2 (one of the primary reasons I didn't read it in the first place) because the anime has covered that part.

And at least 4 chapters are coming out each month now, so I don't feel like I have to wait for the whole book.

After seeing episode 9, I can't say I don't like this show anymore. The current arc is boring and I feel like it's taking away from the time they could spend doing... literally anything else and it just adds some Fridge Logic (There's a suit of evil armor that possesses anybody who it can get it's hands on and the Accel World is still full of people) but the characters are interesting enough and I do want to see what the hell happens when you reach level 10.

Also, Red Queen will join the Black Army, calling it right now.

I believe I already told you that she doesn't.

You did, but the anime is basically waving it in our faces. Or does she just become an ally later? Do the Red and Black Armies team up? (The colors do go well together...)

When she isn't acting like a creepy Stepford Smiler loli I really like Niko. She's kind of like that archetypal big burly Badass guy whose been around the block except tinier. That's also re-enforced by her battle style actually...

I've read up until the end of the second book (the length of which is the current plot about the armor, BTW), and she simply leaves afterward.

But shonen is all about friendship! I mean, how does that just happen? Like "Hey guys, I'm glad we formed such great bonds and worked together to defeat something evil and learned that we're actually Not So Different, so... Bye!"?

Just watch the anime. It will make more sense in context and enough has been spoiled already.

Did the author ever confirm that Accel World and SAO take place in the same universe?

%100 confirm? Not that I know. But there is a cross-over that puts the possibility that they are at "very good."

Just read the first 2/3 of volume 3, which has been translated, and looked up what exactly happens to finish off that arc.

I can almost guarantee a spike in hatred for Chiyuri. And thank God for the memory removal thing that was mentioned earlier. I really, really wouldn't want Dusk Taker to remember anything.

I'm surprised there was no discussion on episode 10 here.

I just realized episode 10 was out. Still haven't seen it.

I still don't like the memory erase thing, it's better to deal with stuff than just "Oh! Memory erase!". If you're going to do that just don't go through with the plot at all...
