This was written as a continuation of the original Archie Sonic continuity and a crossover nobody could see happening: the Universal Century timeline. It takes a bit for the Mobians to come together with the WHITE BASE, it's a gradual process.

It was written by a fan who was not happy with the erasure of the old timeline that ultimately killed the comic and wanted to resolve everything left hanging. It began as an offshoot of ASO's storyline, but became its own thing.

It involves Dust re-appearing as a baby two years after the game, and involves him as a teenager teaming up to fight a foe more threatening than Gaius.

I would like to recommend Shadows and Ash (even though it's already on Pokemon's Fanfic Recs page). I don't usually stick with fanfics but I really liked this one. Basically it's a retelling of the Pokemon anime's first season with one major difference: Ash is accompanied by the legendary Pokemon Darkrai because of reasons that are technically spoilers (it's not because Ash is the chosen one, in case you're worried). This causes a bunch of other differences such as Ash catching different Pokemon.

On a different note, I've been searching for good Pokemon fanfics everywhere and can't really find any that interest me so if anyone's got good recommendations there that would be neat.

Speak Up (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7001716/1/Speak-Up) is really good. It's the only Pokemon fic I've read, though. Do you have any other recommendations? I'm a huge fan of the video games, specifically gens 5-7. I'm a bit of a fangirl for N, if that matters. I also really like Zinnia.

What If I Know Too Many Reasons I Can Be Strong? by Osker

A darkly hilarious Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fan comic, full of references to Berserk. I recommend this to you if you can understand Japanese, but the motion comic adaptation of Chapter 1 is available on YouTube with an English subtitle here.

If I want to recommend a fanfic, do I need to talk to the original author or someone here? I don't want to overstep any boundaries.

So, I've been reading this fic that crosses over Ryuki and a doll line called Ever After High.

Though what interests me is the Ryuki riders being the Knights of the Round Table.

For any in the RWBY fandom, I'm writing a Fix Fic for it here. I call it DNMC (say, "dynamic", as in energetic, so red?). I'll admit, there's a lot left to the imagination right now, but I'm planning on it being what I felt the original show had the potential to become if the showrunners didn't make things up as they went along. I'll also admit that I'm not too proud of centering it around some OC's of mine. I guess I wanted to get in on the OC game and wanted to see what kind of stories they could tell. Basically, Lady Maria is reincarnated as Maria Campbell. Hilarity Ensues.

Possibly the greatest Dark Fic about Kim Possible out there.

Even more so, since it's a completed fic.

(There are two complete sequels as well, which make up a trilogy.)

It deconstructs the amusing quirks of Kim's world and pits her against a Genre Savvy villain who easily overpowers her and breaks her down completely, with tragic consequences for Kim and all of her loved ones.

Ron's character is also treated with more respect than in canon.

Loonatics Revamp by PurpleLuckyStar.

While self-explainatory, this is described as a Continuity Reboot and Fix Fic for the controversial show, Loonatics Unleashed. It basically describes in stunning detail the origins of are six intrepid heroes.

Personally, I'm in love with this story cause it provides things the old show never gave us. Depth in the character's personal lives and backstories, the struggle and angst of obtaining new powers they don't know how to control, the consequences of the meteor striking your home city.

Also some noteworthy differences from the actual canon:

• The Loonatics are not descendants of the iconic Tunes, PLS sorta described it as a parallel universe.
• Acmetropolis is not an entire planet, but a city in the USA of Earth.
• The whole planet of Earth in this fic is a World of Funny Animals, unlike the series where humans were the majority.
• The Loonatics have more baggage that gets put to the test.

You can read this fanfic is bassically Gravity Falls X Digimon.

Dipper and Mabel come to spend the summer with the Grunkle Stan and end meeting digimons... The monsters of the series are actually digimons.

I'm not necessarily 100% certain about how this recommendation procedure works but here's my two cents nonetheless...

I'd like to recommend "Legend of the eight kings" by Lich Daor. (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12070013/1/Legend-of-the-eight-kings)

It's a recently completed work that is intended to act as a prequel fanfic to the Overlord light novel series starring the Eight Greed Kings of that universe. Since this takes place 500 years before the arrival of Ainz Ooal Gown all the characters within it are original creations of the author. However, this doesn't detract from their unique characteristics and concepts as they are all written as excellently and believably as possible whilst complying with the rules of the world set by Overlord and occasionally diverting from the norm to add some flavor.

Furthermore, the author has also managed to capture the original feeling of the Overlord light novels in the sense that he doesn't neglect world building while focusing on the central eight characters. The world around the Eight Greed Kings is just as alive and active as the players themselves, factoring heavily into their trials and tribulations.

Overall, if you're a fan of the Overlord light novels then it's highly likely you'll enjoy this as well since it reads and feels like a genuine prequel to the series. I would advise reserving some judgement in advance since the author him/herself has admitted that English isn't their primary language. Regardless, the writing is still good, save for a few minor errors at the start, and progressively gets better as the author becomes more accustomed to the language.

An Awakening in Cold Steel (on Fanfiction.net)

Description: Morgan starts her new life as a student at Thors Military Academy. Naturally, she finds herself in the middle of a growing crisis.

A crossover fanfic between Fire Emblem: Awakening and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel that this troper has been following for some time. Admittedly, the fic leans more to the Trails side than Fire Emblem, but it deserves a recommendation for the way the author was able to insert Morgan into the Trails universe, and considering how the Trails games are infamous for having a tightly-knit narrative that leaves no stone unturned, that's saying a lot. Morgan retains the aspects of her personality that made her endearing in her home game, but now there's an air of intrigue floating around her since her past is only shown through flashbacks. It's a breath of fresh air from other "Character X is now in Universe Y" fics that this troper has read, and it boasts a fair share of original content separate from the main game's storyline to keep things interesting.

Note: The first several chapters have a case of Early-Installment Weirdness compared to more recent chapters as the author was trying to find their footing at the beginning. Their writing style stabilizes once they start delving into the original content.

I'd like to read a fanfic where Victor Frankenstein is a full fledged villain with no redeeming qualities. I hate that character so much and hate how much undue sympathy he is given.

I have, and the book gave him too much sympathy.

By the way, Moving On is worth a read, for anyone who likes light detective fan-fiction, combined with romance.

Been browsing around, but I did find one story in XCOM of all things. It's call XCOM: Retribution's Ascension by Marutectz 552. Surprisingly, it's not that bad and I think it's worth a mention, if anyone say's otherwise...take a look and sit back for a decent read.

Risk It All is a fun take on the typical The Gamer fic. It stars an OC rather than changing an established character. The plot is original, the main character manages to be bright, compassionate, and idealistic despite stumbling repeatedly. The author also introduces some interesting mechanics to separate it from the rest, mainly that whatever powers he gets is up to Random Number God for the most part and he can only gain EXP by increasing his notoriety, meaning that Level Grinding by punching mooks and biding time in secret is off the table.
