Umm... shall we say godlike?
Call me a devil... it just means I'll have to use my hellish powers to get you to listen! F:36 S:0/20I should really start keeping a dream journal...for real.
The only time I remember doing the lucid dreaming thing was when I was a little kid, and in retrospect everything about it was incredibly narmy. Basically I had this recurring nightmare where my bed was on some kind of small but very high plateau, and these Waddling Head black and white dots were competing to push me off one side of the cliff or the other. Finally one day I decided I was going to change things, so I managed to make a unicorn show up and have it fly me back home. Again, pretty ridiculous. But I find it interesting that was the only time I remember being able to control a dream, or at least having it occur to me that I could- maybe the fact that it was a recurring one made me more aware it was a dream than usual.

Oh, this is probably unrelated to lucid dreaming, but:
Had you ever awakened, and your sense of time is screwed? Your mind thinks it's time to wake up, and when you try looking at a clock, you can't read it. You try flipping it up-side-down, but you still can't read it. And then you start getting ready but then a few minutes later you finally snap out of it and you see that it's actually 3 in the morning and then you'll have to undress and go back to sleep...
It's a strange experience. I wonder what it's called.
Oh God, I can’t remember the context, but it happened to me in a dream in the past week...anyone have a REALLY OBVIOUS clue that you’re dreaming that you totally miss?
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!One time my fingernails were really weird lengths, and I didn't clue in. :/

In our heart, Mr. Ando will always be a penguin.I had a strange dream a couple days ago, where I was essentially lucid and could do everything that it entails, but my mind was pulling out all the stops to keep me thinking I was in a dream. After that I really wanted get into them because it sounded awesome. But has this kind of dream happened to anyone else?
Also, BUMP
Yesterday I had a dream about gigantic black penguins that somehow decided to mob me, and then I 'realised' that it was a dream while unconscious, so I decided to have a little fun with it and went with the flow. Yes, that was 'the me' in the dream, realising that the whole scenario was a dream for the first time. I commanded the penguins not to mob me and they put on a little show for me, out in the backyard by using a water-slide.
I'm going to put this power to good use

In an anime, I'll be the Tsundere Dark Magical Girl who likes purple MY own profile is actually HERE!The few times I realized I was dreaming, it was only a few moments before I woke up. Mostly I just stand around and bunk when it happens. Well, except for this one time I hand waved a nightmare as being a movie I was watching in the dream.
So, uh... If I remember a particular dream from years ago vividly enough, it's possible to re-visit it, or at least something like it, right? I kind of have unfinished business in a couple of scenarios imagined way back in high school.
They assed first. I am only retaliating in an ass way. -The Dead Man's LifeI've been keeping a dream journal, and while I remember a lot more of my dreams, I've only had lucidy a couple of times, and almost all of them involved me only moving and speaking, my influence isn't powerful enough yet, but, a while back, I managed to briefly take over, and I gave myself a pair of wings. ( I loved birds and I've almost never flown, so it seemed like a good idea.) My plan to gain more control is a thrice daily reality check involving a spinning coin.
I can sort of lucid dream. I'm usually somewhat aware that I'm dreaming, but I don't often think to change things to any drastic extent. I'm more likely to just let the "story" play out. I make things happen, but only to go along with what's already happening.
I do have moments where I'm entirely aware that I'm dreaming, but unfortunately they don't tend to last. The stuff I do choose to do is usually pretty dumb or uncreative. I've been known to make favorite characters appear nearby so that I can interact with them, and that's always cool, but I always think of better ideas by the time I'm awake.
A few other things to note. My dreams are extremely vivid and are pretty much always from a first-person perspective. There are a lot of locations that keep reappearing, and some of them are even connected to each other. The details are surprisingly consistent. Some of these locations are completely invented, but others are based on real places.
I try to write my dreams down, but I haven't made it a habit yet. I do tend to mentally review them when I wake up, though.
I've been able to do this for ages, but it appears to go away if I don't pay any focus to it. I have robbed stores for chocolate, (and eaten it), moving things with my mind, meeting people I miss and the classical flying, although I'm apparently terrible at it.
It seems like I only get aware of it if I write my regular dreams down long enough. That works, usually. I warn you beginners out there though, there are backsides to being awesome when you are sleeping . Ever heard of sleep paralysis? It's the phenomenon when you are awake, but can't move anything. And yeah, did I mention that you hallucinate? Like, the girl from the ring could crawl into your bedroom, and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
Totally worth the chocolate though.
My lucid dreams are usually terrifying...
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdWow, I didn't know there was a thread just about lucid dreaming.
I have lucid dreamed multiple times, as I've managed to discover one of those clue points that makes you realize your dreaming, which in my case is: gumball machines with bouncy ball in them. I like collecting bouncy balls and often in my dreams I dream about finding some, like a lot. It happens often enough to where I would realize I was dreaming as soon as the balls start coming out...especially if there's a lot of them coming out.
Usually I use the opportunity to see what it's like to be a Pokemon, typically Lugia.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."But daft if they're lucid you can just make them not terrifying
right?
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartI've long wanted to learn to lucidly dream. I think that I'll start keeping a dream journal.
My dreams are basically Mushroom Samba/Mind Screws, wherein I mostly observe other people. They can also be rather twisted. So, if I were to have lucid dreams, I imagine that they'd be a lot like a slightly darker Waking Life.

This is a signature.I hate it when I realize that I'm dreaming, because it means I'm about to wake up, but I remember one exception I was at a familiar train station, but I suddenly for some unknown reason realized it was a dream, I quickly noticed many inconsistencies with the train station, but didn't think of it further, I was just moments away from waking up, so why bother?
I didn't wake up, I couldn't understand why, I eventually figured I might as well try changing the dream, so I decided I should be somewhere fun, like a roller coaster
I was still at the train station, but I didn't give up (mostly because I didn't have anything better to do), but I remembered that my dreams often change based on what I belive, I just had to start with something more subtle
so I wanted to eat a hamburger, I really wanted that, I imagined what it would be like to eat a delicious hamburger, I could almost taste it, in fact, I could feel myself chewing on it then I realized I was eating some flat bread, close enough

The thing that was gonna be powerful, then not, then powerful againI've been meaning to get into lucid dreaming. My soul longs for magical adventures.
The one and only time I've realized I was dreaming (because airports don't normally have zoos in them), I wasn't able to change anything. The dream was realistic enough that my mind couldn't "accept" that it had the power to change whatever it wanted. I kept trying and trying but only made minuscule changes. Has that happened to anyone else?
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Just about three years after my original post, I find that my bouncy ball cue still works. I just had a bouncy ball machine show up in a dream I had recently and I remembered that it was my dreaming cue, so I was able to control in my dream. Of course, the dream ended badly (in the hilarious sense), but it's nice to see that my own personal "dreaming cue" still works.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."
My dreams are pretty warped in the first place, so it's not that difficult to distinguish them from reality.
Coolest thing I've ever done while dreaming? Realized I was in a dream while being stalked by some horrible monster, "dislocated" my point of view to third-person to spot it sneaking up on me, pulled a Time Stop, turned it inside-out with my mind, and started time again. Ludicrous Gibs ensued.
