Just fused a Phosphora Bow with 5 ranged, shot range +3 and dash ch. shot +4. It's damn fun with that crazy homing ability, though seriously lacking in power without energy charge.

I don't have my 3DS with me, but I'll soon add mine to the list!

I hope Sakurai relents and does make a sequel for this game. I know he said the reason was because they exhausted all the Mythology Gag humor regarding the first game, but to be honest this game introduced enough new characters and jokes to self-sustain itself. Not to mention they could mention some stuff from the Gameboy game.

And the more I think about it, the more I think this game would be perfect on the Wii U. Only major controls needed would be nunchuck's joystick to move, wii remote pointer to aim, and a button to shoot. Plus it would look neat on a bigger screen.

Heck, I don't even think they've fully exhausted all the possible Mythology Gags! There were two characters in the first game that were described in the manual as being gods: the god of poverty (whose name I can't remember) and the god of plants (whose name I can't remember). If they were to theoretically stick with the Underworld and Forces of Nature being enemies, Planty could be a servant of Viridi and Hobo-God can be a servant of whoever the heck runs the Underworld now that both of its representative gods have been banished.

Oh, yeah, Zeus as well. (Unless he's Dyntos, like some people think.) Also, considering they added Poseidon (briefly), there's so many more possible references to Greek mythology they could make.

Dammit, I missed people talking about my Sagittarius Bow.

I tried using it recently. It kills just as well as it always did.

I figured Dyntos was Hephaestus. I'm hoping they use Typhon as the main villain if they make another game. He has the potential to be one of the most nightmare fuel inducing bosses in Nintendo history.

I'd love Typhon as an end boss, with the main villainous group being an army of just monsters plain and simple, lead by the likes of Echidna, Sicily, and other such major Greek beasties or something similar.

[up]I think you mean Scylla with that last one.

edit: Ooh, idea! With Hades dead there's no one to keep the monsters in Tartarus imprisoned so they break out and wreak havoc. To put things right Pit and Palutena eventually resurrect Medusa who aids them in sealing them away again. This way they can use her in future games.

[up][up][up]Yes. YES YES YES YES YES.

Typhon is one of my favorite mythological characters because of how ridiculously horrifying it is. However, I'd want there to be some smaller villain that's helping Typhon (trying to resurrect him, perhaps) that could serve as a substitute for Hades (more of an Affably Evil type). That way we could have the cool, funny villain that still poses a threat, and Typhon could be the genuinely terrible and hardcore villain. Kind of like Hades and Medusa, actually, but with the roles reversed.

EDIT: [up][up]Or that. Yeah, let's go with that. That's even better!

I think Zeus might be dead. Seriously, aside from only ever appearing to test Pit in special chambers, he also looks like a ghost.

But yeah, it'd be neat to see him again. Maybe they'd include the nurse as a minor Goddess of Medicine or something.tongue

And just for the record, Sakurai's word on whether he'll do something or not id pretty much worthless- Melee was to be his last Smash, then Brawl, and yet, he's working on a pair of fourth ones as we speak. Besides, he doesn't really get a say in whether another game gets made or not, just if he himself will work on it.

I sure said that!

Yeah, it was Scylla that I was thinking of. And with Hades dead, the "monsters start breaking free from Tartarus" would make for a fairly cool plot. What if the "smaller" villain was Cronos, and he brought along his titans to assist him as his army? That way, they'd employ monsters as their mooks, they'd have a fair supply of varied bosses (the numerous lesser Titans, and some big-time monsters), they'd have a solid, central leader (Cronos), and they could free Typhon to wreak havoc near the end.

Pulse: I have a feeling they'll make another some day. It might not be for a while but I expect one will be made at some point.

Alfric: I'd prefer Echidna and Typhon as the main villains. They could have an interesting brains and brawn dynamic. It would be a nice departure from the first one which didn't really have a whole lot of banter between the villains themselves even if there was plenty between the heroes and the villains.

If most of the baddies were just terrible monsters, though... That'd lose some of the main appeal of Uprising itself. It'd work for a closing arc, though, especially if it was a team effort between Palutena's Army, the Forces of Nature and/or the Underworld Army to allow for the requisite banter.tongue

[up]It's definitely going to be a while- I mean, Uprising only came out this year. Knowing Nintendo's style, it's probably gonna be late into this gen or early in the next.

[up][up][up]Sounds good to m - oh. Oh...idea strike.

Skyworld is in the sky. One of the titans in Greek myth is Atlas. Atlas holds up the sky.

There's an interesting dynamic that could be explored...

[up]Oh, yes. Team-up must be a thing. Delicious, delicious banter...

[up][up]If it's anything like the first there'd probably be one or two portions that have nothing to do with the main monster jailbreak plot.

I predict the next Kid Icarus game will be out around 2016 at the end of the 3DS's life.

[up]How would that work? I mean to the Greeks it made sense but Kid Icarus doesn't portray the sky as a dome floating above the Earth that has to be held up.

[up][up][up]Well, the Percy Jackson series depicted Atlas's sky-holding well, and that's set in a mostly realistic world (as in, just like our world, but with Greek myths being true). Just create a sort of "droop" in the sky, maybe fill it with storminess so that it's visually distinctive, and then have Atlas holding it with both hands.

[up][up]Or, better yet, Atlas completely abandons his duties to help Typhon, and the sky (and Skyworld with it) slowly starts to fall. Palutena has to whip up some temporary fix until Pit can recapture Atlas.

I think I'd like the next one on the Wii U. Controls would be simple, and the dialogue pictures that would normally be on the touch screen could fit neatly along the bottom of the screen.

There's plently that can be done in a sequel - aside from the previously-mentioned usage of characters like Typheus and Echidna, we've yet to recieve closure on the now-humanoid Pandora, Magnus' child, the regenerating body of Hades or Viridi's lingering antagonism.

Personally, the things I'd like to see would be versions of Orcus and the Minotaur from the Gameboy game (explained as a parallel timeline), an explanation for Zeus' disappearance (perhaps he was killed in the KI universe's equivalent of the Titanomachy, leaving Palutena as his successor?), and flashback chapters with young Palutena as the playable character, expanding on her history with Medusa and Hades, as well as whatever gods they decide to introduce in the sequel.
