Split your story into three parts, each focusing on one harem?
devArt | Pokemon RED: a fan-fic (also on dArt)Don't introduce everyone at once. And preferably, make sure all the women in the harem have distinct personalities and voices, and only make two women similar in that respect when you're specifically trying to point out the similarities between them. Even then though, there needs to be something there to tell the difference, be it dialogue or description, or everyone is going to get really confused.

I hate it when ethnic neighbourhoods mix!

So, I've got this story in pre-writing that's basically an Affectionate Parody of the Harem Genre. Long story short, I want to put two or three completely seperate harems in it, but I don't want to overwhelm or confuse the reader with character dynamics and unrelated subplots. Can anyone offer any tips to do this? I'm only in the prewriting stages, so I'll happily take advice.
