Well, Cygan was wondering why there wasn't one, so I made it. I guess we can talk about queer stuff. :3
(*LGBTQ+ Solidarity huggles*)
Oh, and if you're wondering, non-queer folks are welcome too.

re: makeup:
Makeup has long been used throughout history to alter how a person looks. It's not always to hide flaws, but to conform to specific norms and standards as well, which sometimes involves using make up. For instance, ancient egypt would have people shaving off all their hair, and wearing wigs and what not as well as fake eyebrows.
Make up also has context in covering up small pox scars in europe.
Human's desires to present themselves differently is very strong, and can be seen through out historyyyyy.
Read my stories!I swear Facebook are just trying to piss of trans people right now....
I guess the 30 or so gender options were just a fluke, then.
I suspect different branches.
Read my stories!I suspect some kind of endgame is at play here.
I think there is a goal, I just don't know what it would be.
Facebook gets a lot of flack for being a platform for cyber bulling; insisting on legal names is probably the best way they can combat it. Of course that interferes way too much with issues of identity. You'd think the smart thing to do would be to require legal names, but only requiring them on the profile page; the name you post under could then be anything.
This is all part of a much larger issue; and that is that the social media sphere of the internet allows for personal attacks, mobs, doxxing, fabrication and slander on a level never witnessed before, and nobody knows how to deal with it yet.
In fact, even we as users don't know how to deal with it; how should we conduct ourselves on the internet, how should we react to misconduct, and at what point will this etiquette be inherent to how we think about the internet? I suspect it wont be for a long time. Until then we live in a cyberpunk era where society is still adjusting how it thinks in light of new technology.
@AHR: I'm aware of the historical context of makeup. And don't get me wrong, I'm not going to say someone shouldn't wear makeup if they want to.
I just think its gross that we have standards for appearance that are so high that some people can't reach them without smearing dead bug guts and crushed rocks on their face, or that we won't accept someone as their actual gender unless they do so.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I sort of like makeup to be honest.
And if you travel to /r/makeupaddiction you're going to find a lot of feminists and trans women who are going to disagree. They're doing it for themselves because it's enjoyable, a hobby, and who doesn't like to pretty themselves up? Makeup can really transform a person, and if it makes themselves feel better why is it your concern?
It also created the first major visible element of the LGBT community. Without drag queens there'd be no Stonewall, without stonewall we'd probably be a decade behind to be honest.
And it's not just women, a lot of men will use concealer to cover dark circles from lack of sleep, drug use, or unhealthy eating habits. ( At least it's acceptable here in the US/North America)
Also it's fun.

I use it for a more direct purpose than many others - I use parts of my appearance to help me in certain endeavors - knowing how to appeal to people can help quite a bit, and does also help me help others.
I guess though I kind of am a mix of a Guile Hero, The Heart and The Chick.
"Did you expect somebody else?"I wish I had makeup.
My friend promised to give me a tutorial on it.
The problem isn't people liking to use makeup.
The problem is impossible to attain standards of beauty that require copious use of makeup to at all approximate.

Standards of beauty is an issue which can be divorced from make up though.
Really this isn't about make up at all.

Update! My mom said if I weren't straight, she wouldn't get angry. Problem is, she said she'd "help me through the questioning of my sexuality". IT ISN'T THAT EASY, MOM.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdWell I suppose that's better then what you thought before, however, it's still pretty bad.
However there seems to be more hope now then before.
Haha. My dad tried to convince me I'm confused.
My mom seems to think it's because of bullying? Which of course makes no sense whatsoever.
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartStill not gonna come out... My friend just made this for me, though. Pretty hilarious.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdThe fact that they even bothered rationalizing it away makes me think at least they care for you. There is hope there. Some people don't even get that.
Yeah, that's true. What my dad said is still unforgivable, though.
That is hilarious xD
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartWhat did your dad say?
It's always nice when I manage to say things that trip my own personal appearance issues.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Uhm
I don't wanna talk about it ._.
Maybe some other time.
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartI'm sorry Brahian.
It's fine
I think I'm getting over it
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartYou're too young to be getting crap like this. Both you and Daft, that's why I always say wait to come out to parents till you have some foundation to stand on if you get the worst of it.
