The story about the magic mirror is from a UK comic book. There was a whole series of UK comic books that included not only characters from the US TV series, but many other ponies who only otherwise appeared in the toylines. It also had different interpretations of the characters from the TV show that matched the short character descriptions that came on the ponies' boxes. One notable example is that Wind Whistler was a ditz in the UK comics, which is completely opposite her role in the cartoon as The Spock.

Both of these links explain a lot about the UK interpretations and different pony names in some cases, and the second link also has some of the comics, too, including the Magic Mirror story.

Thanks! ^^
The Protomen enhanced my life.Rainbow Dash the First needs more love.
G3 Dash was cool XD She was like a big sister to the ponies, and also knew about fashion and rainbows. And she used her boxes of luggage to save Rarity once XD
The Protomen enhanced my life.Updated the Nightmare Fuel page for the first G1 TV series, which seriously needs a capital A on the And.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/NightmareFuel/MyLittlePonyandFriends
The Protomen enhanced my life.Standard titles just use the capitalization they're typed with; NightmareFuel/MyLittlePonyAndFriends provides a capital A.
A fair amount of the information on the G3 page actually comes from me under an old account. As I mentioned on the FiM board, I was actually a fan of the G3 specials before the whole Friendship is Magic thing started. So when I first heard that there was going to be a new TV series, I was naturally excited, I just never imagined that it would become anything like what it has been.
I really enjoyed the Rarity character in the G3, though she was very different from the Rarity we have now, being a sort of happy-go-luck and kiddish princess of Unicornia. I also was very fond of the "Come Back, Lily Lightly" special and the "Shine On" song, particularly the firefly, whom I thought had a very cute voice.
I'm not very familiar with either G1 or G2, though watching the first My Little Pony is on my list of videos to "Watch Later" on You Tube when I have the time to spare.
Of course, the thing about me is that I was Periphery Demographic before the idea of "brony" even existed. I'm also an Arthur fan, and the Care Bears too, which anytone reading would likely have already guessed unless they have images disabled. And my personal favorite is probably Franklin.

Thanks for helping out! ^^ *likes the G3 series a lot too*
I was thinking about writing a fanfic where winter comes to Breezie Blossom.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Added more stuff to the nightmare fuel page for the first G1 series. THOSE POOR NEWBORN TWINS ;-;
The Protomen enhanced my life.Did you add back the chair monster scene yet?
I forgot when that was. XD;
The Protomen enhanced my life.Chair monster? Did the writers just choose the villains from a Monster Manual?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatIs the chair monster where some of the chairs attack in The Revolt of Paradise Estate? Or is it something else?
It was from Quest of the Princess Ponies, and I thought it was the scariest scene in the show.
Today I found something interesting at a flea market. I found four G3 ponies, two of which are probably bootlegs or altered since I can't find them in any listings. I found G3 Cheerilee (the Core 7 version) and a Mc Donalds G3.5 Sweetie Belle, but the two others are a green, sparkly and translucent pony with a G3-style movable head with green hair and NO cutie mark, and the other is a hot pink pony that is also G3 style and is a little smaller and has aqua hair and two cutie marks, a star on its butt and a music note on its side. It's almost like the pink one stole the green one's cutie mark!
That would be a nightmare come true for the Cutie Mark Crusaders, an adult pony with no cutie mark!
I wasn't sure if those two I couldn't identify were bootlegs or not, if anyone knows of any ponies that are similar, but they probably are since I couldn't find anything about them on identification sites.
Sounds like fakies to me XD Congrats on your finds, though ^^
The Protomen enhanced my life. They probably are, since they don't have the hoof indentations that the Cheerilee doll does that has the logo or says when they were made. But I really like the green sparkly one anyway, since I like sparkly things like that.

Briefly watched an ep involving Sky Wishes and Star Catcher, and I totally flipped over them!!
The relationship is so darling.
What did you think of Twinkle Twirl?
With Sky Wishes or just as a character?
Well, it is very sweet. They seem so much like siblings and Twirl is a patient teacher. It reminds me that G4 needs a dancer pony, and I don't mean Pinkie Pie since she is a baker.
"Notice I am pointing my toes as I go Weee!!"
Heh, there's definitely plenty of bootlegs out there, and knockoffs. But it's great when you can get a good deal on the real thing.
G3 toys are cheap as chips compared to the new G4 stills. By the genuine thing from the local 2 doller shop for aroun 5 bucks compared to th 10 dollar G4 basics.
Talking about G4 basics, the Wave 4 basics I haven't been able to find anywhere in the Sydney district. All the other ponies, yes, but not those ones.
Are they a No Export for You?
I'm having to learn to pay the price"Dancing in the Clouds" was the episode where I didn't care much about the plot because I just found the whole thing to be so relaxing, and Star Catcher and Twinkle Twirl were given very hot voices.
I'd like to find some of the books based on it, though. I wanted to read more about Skywishes' dilemma of keeping her pegasus friend secret, and I heard there was confusion regarding Star Catcher's gender in one book.
I'm actually watching "Dancing in the Clouds" right now and having the same general feeling. Got the A Very Minty Christmas DVD from the library - never actually saw this one before. Actually watching Minty Christmas is next on my list.
Ah... so Sky Wishes is Saffron Henderson and Twinkle Twirl is Chiara Zanni? Nice one. I knew they sounded familiar. To me, Henderson is Oxnard from Hamtaro and Zanni... well, we all already know Zanni, don't we?

Watching The World's Biggest Tea Party and laughed out loud at the random disco/hip-hop number. Also had Parental Bonus in that one of the lyrics was "Shake your cutie" XD Come to think of it, that entire song may've been Parental Bonus.
