Oh, whoops, sorry about that. Yeah, Isaac is fine, going with the stuff Gaunt brought up. He's got a much better idea of Dead Space stuff than I do.

Excellent. My plan for a duo of angels raining down devastation and destruction from above and below has come into fruition. All is well with the world. tongue

  • Name: Angela Strraughend
  • Universe: Rusty Hearts
  • Appearance
  • Powers/Skills: (I generalized her skills from the game, as they would be too many)
    • Elemental Magic: (aside from spells, she can also imbue her weapon with these elements' characteristics and cure afflictions based on these elements, as well as having a slight resistance to them)
      • Fire (relatively small AoE, mostly exploding fireballs and firewalls)
      • Earth: A rock fist from the ground(rel. small AoE) and a localized sandstorm(large AoE, gradually covers the affected into stone temporarily immobilizing them)
      • Wind: Wind blast(wide frontal blast, slows) and tornado-type(suction) attacks
      • Water/Ice (mostly ice, really. shards and the like)
    • Holy Magic: Magic missiles(target, homing), heal/regen(large AoE, take a while to use again), vertical light pillars.
    • Sword/Scythe Skill: Despite being a witch, Angela has a thing for slicing through her enemies with her weapon at times.
  • Equipment:
    • Graestra, an ancient blade possessed by an evil spirit.
      • Graestra can take on a scythe form, removing Angela's heal and making her spells more violent (but less precise. e.g. magic missiles stop homing, AoE spells do more damage, sandstorm becomes an actual sandstorm, etc.).
    • Costumes(I just wanted to put it in). Angela doesn't mind dressing up.
  • Entry Point: I'm not picky.
  • "Why did you pick this character?": She's my main char in the game, she has a funny personality, and I like scythes.

How's this? Also, this is my first time playing a forum RPG. I have been in forum RP's before, though.

Edited.

Looks good. Could you clarify how the petrifying sandstorm and light pillars work, though? The magic seems alright for the most part, but it's actually all a little vaguely-defined at the moment. It's not like it would keep you out of the game or anything, but it's just stuff we should probably define a little more clearly ahead of time. Otherwise, welcome to the game.

Well, in-universe, her sandstorm turns enemies to stone. As for the light pillars, she conjures them vertically up from the ground (they are literal pillars). for the fire: shoot exploding fireballs. Her fire wall is basically just making a fountain of fire in a single spot, but I thought it'd be better to have it resemble an actual (albeit short) wall for rp purposes.

Come to think of it, I'll remove some stuff and edit my post. I'll drop the protective spheres thing (coz I haven't used it in the game yet, so I'm not sure how it really works)

Edit: sign-up post edited.

Hmm, okay. Does the sandstorm instantly turn people to stone, or is it a gradual thing? Is it directable, or an actual snadstorm (therefore making friendly fire something she'd need to worry about)?

The latter is probably what we should go with, purely for balance purposes, in both cases. Does that sound fair?

In-game it's a localized sandstorm (so kind of directed and not at the same time) with near-instant effect, and it doesn't do friendly fire (I don't think anything does). I'd go with the gradual bit plus friendly fire, but keep the it as a localized storm. Watcha think?

Sure, that sounds fine. There isn't really a "no friendly fire" thing in here, but that sounds great. Anyway, with that bit of nitpicking on my part aside, welcome to the game for real this time. tongue

Also, we've had a ton of new people lately, so we've decided to close the sign-ups for the time being.

Hey look, I know you're not signing up, but can I just leave my sheet here anyway, because I know you do your whole thingimiywhatsit with story-breaking powers (which I suspect Shift may be) so I'd like to get that sorted in advance if you get started again.

  • Name: Detective John Tanner (Note:OOC often refers to him on a Last-Name Basis, myself included, but he is normally referred to IC on a First-Name Basis)
  • Universe: Driver, after the events of Driver: San Francisco
  • Appearance: This guy
  • Powers/Skills:
Skills
  • Badass Driver: If it has anything between 2 and 18 wheels, he can't just drive it, he can make it dance. Universal Driver's License is averted though; Jones mentions that Tanner can't fly a chopper, and it's fair to assume that he can't fly a plane either.
  • Weapon Trained: As a cop, he can safely handle a weapon (it'd be best if I ignore Driv3r and just say he uses handguns)
Powers I somehow managed to forget San Francisco took place in a coma, so ignore this section
  • Equipment:
    • 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T - a pretty poor combat vehicle, but a good chase/getaway car.
    • Whatever the SF police standard issue sidearm is.
  • Why did you choose this character?: Well, I really like Driver (even Driv3r) and I think Tanner is simultaneously badass and hilarious. Also, I don't think you have any other Badass Drivers yet, so bonus.

It's kind of thrilling when Inspector Tequila dives sideways in slow motion, shooting dual pistols while doves fly out of his arse.

Sorry if I come off as fickle here, but I ran into a brick wall with Liu Kang. I figure I should put him on a bus for now and start with another character from another franchise.

  • Name: Sting
  • Universe: World Championship Wrestling in 1996, shortly after adopting his "Crow Sting" gimmick
  • Appearance
  • Powers/Skills:
    • Wrestling Skill: Sting has been wrestling for eleven years, and he is a formidable fighter in the ring. He has enough prowess that he can handle a real fight easily. His most effective technique is the Scorpion Deathlock, a specific hold designed to put the opponent in pain to the point that they submit. However, he does not use this move in every single fight he gets into.
    • Made of Iron: Sting is a durable man, capable of withstanding blows only a trained professional could. However, he is by no means invulnerable.
    • Guile: Sting was once the most easily fooled wrestler in the business, but he learned from this and became extremely Genre Savvy. He became highly skilled in reading others' emotions and learned to discern whether one is telling the truth easily. Combined with his quiet demeanor, this often leads others to think he suspects something of everyone he meets.
  • Equipment: Sting brings with him a black baseball bat, his Weapon Of Choice. He is perhaps the most skilled man in his profession at its use, often knowing exactly which swing will work best in the given situation. He generally does not aim to kill, only to wound or knock unconscious.
  • "Why did you pick this character?": I want to see how I would do playing the role of a wrestler in character, as opposed to playing the wrestler as he is outside the ring.
