I've seen one with Sophitia.
Well, not SEEN-seen, but I have seen that it exists.

New theme music also a boxY'know, seeing people react here makes me think that gamers would like to create a union to storm first Japan, then the world, to rid the world of that devil machine that is Pachinko... Destroying every single pieces of Pachinko and making a worldwide law that forbids the construction of Pachinko machine...

Its not that we hate Pachinko
Its the whole several of our childhood franchises are becoming Pachinko only
For example, Guilty Gear Vastedge is fine, and caused no controversy. Because Vastedge was announced after the Xrd debut trailer. There's a Pachi Slot machine, but there's a real Guilty Gear on the way after such a long hiatus.
This is for the 20th anniversary, after it's been ages since the last Soul Calibur game.
A corpse should be left well enough alone......Don't support this franchise if they don't want to do anything new. -___-

Mileena MadnessWell, I just once again want to point out that I blame the idiot siblings.
Killed the series so hard, Namco has given up on it completely.
I know there are other things about V that hurt the series, but I'm mostly just messing around.
One Strip! One Strip! The thing I get is the moment the series moves to Pachinko, or becomes Pachinko only, people started screaming bloody murder. While Konami's biggest problem was 'shit treatment to its employees', I would say that people wouldn't rag on them as big as this one if they didn't make the move to Pachinko. Or sometimes mobile-gaming as well.
The more I think of it, the more it's looking like video gamers are becoming Yandere to the franchises they love.
To be fair, most of us have a rather dim view on gambling and stuff. Pachinko for most of us is just a glorified slot machine. That's all.
> video gamers are becoming Yandere to the franchises they love.
that has always been the case with passionate fans in just about everything.
New theme music also a boxThe story elements don't even help, because as Super Bunnyhop noted in his video, you're almost never gonna see those stories play out due to the sheer luck based nature of the machines.
Knew what it was going to be before I clicked the video. Let my hopes get up just a tiny little bit because I'd just heard about Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite minutes ago, but then I saw that first logo and I had a failt laugh inside.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyDo you guys think a new Soulcalibur might be coming soon? Something that makes me think that is what composer Junichi Nakatsuru said on the 20th anniversary (translated from Japanese):
"Please look forward to all the exciting new themes our sound designing team will produce for you."
With that, it seems like SC is far from over. It's just a matter of when we get a new game at this point, and hopefully it's sooner rather than later.
Author.Who knows.
I guess that depends on whether they plan on sticking with the V timeline or not.
How did V fair in Japan? That's probably going to be a big factor in determining where the series goes from here.
One Strip! One Strip!IV sold 74,000 on PS 3 and 34,000 on Xbox 360 in the first week. In comparison, V only sold 34,000 on PS 3 and 7,600 on Xbox 360.
I think it's already hinted that Hoshino isn't going to stick to the V timeline, as he seems to prefer the old characters like the audience does.

Author. The new guys suck, but I kinda feel sorry for them.
Any character can be good if done well.
Then again, Pyrrha had a pretty miserable story, and Patrockles was a jackass to the point that even when he learned his lesson, he was still hated, so maybe it's better for both of them if things get retconned and they go back to how they were.
One Strip! One Strip! At this point, they should have stopped worrying about the "realistic timeline"
I mean just have Soul Calibur and Soul Edge clash in such a way that souls touched by the two will now be drawn into their pseudo dimension ergo The Souls of the fighters now keep showing up in the Swords new world
That way, you can have a Tale of souls and sword eternally retold... cause now its now longer stuck being the Real medieval period but now some weird mix of Warhammer fantasy and Valhalla!
That way you don't get timeskip stupidity like who we replace feels arbitrary... or if you want to do a Timeskip
GO ALL THE ****ING WAY!
NUKE THE OLD CAST
ALL NEW FACES, NO LINKS
SET IT IN MODERN TIMES!
DOGS AND CATS GETTING MARRIED!
ARMAGEDDON!
AND A FORTY MAN BATTLE ROYALE!
THE WINNER TAKES ON THE ROCK!
One Strip! One Strip!
That would straight-up kill the series haha.
Author.I would imagine some of the new characters would be better reception if they actually had an effect on the plot and people would not be required to hunt down information on them. Without anytime to see a character grow and develop they just look like poor replacements for popular characters.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaConsidering some guest characters, The Rock would not be that surprising...
The sad, REAL American dichotomy
Its already dead
I'm pulling a Frakenstein
...What did that song have to do with SoulCalibur?
In any case, for no particular reason, I kinda thought about Guest Fighters in a hypothetical SoulCalibur VI.
You know how for a time, some versions of a game had different guests?
What if it went like:
A Hypothetical one
