Sonic Advance has its True Final Boss battle on the moon.
Do not fear power... fear those who wield it.I thought more than one Sonic game had Moon levels. Also, didn't one of the Commander Keen games take place there?
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.Well, Death Egg Zone is no moon...
But it's odd, from all the IN SPACE! levels, rarely do they place it on the moon...
Sonic hates SOPAThe Magic School Bus Explores The Solar System.
And it's the easiest of the platforming levels by far.
>_>
Final Fantasy IV. Of course, it may not be our moon, but at least it's a moon.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Gun Nac, complete with humongous rabbit mecha
Is that a platformer? =)
Does it have to be Earth's moon, OP?
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.^ Nobody specified platformer...
'twas brillig.Majora's Mask? Link is delirious from the lack of oxygen so it's a little abstract.
Oh, 2d. Well there was an Army Men game which took place on the moon.

Yeah, who said anything about a platformer?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"A couple people have mentioned it.
They've all been asking who said anything about platformers, though.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Yoshi's Island for the SNES has a boss that takes place on the moon. You literally can run the circumference of the moon in under five seconds and it was FUN.
The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.Oh my god I remember that game. Many wasted recesses.
Neptune always freaked me out though. I had a primal fear of bottomless pits and sky levels.

Yeah, Neptune was an... interesting level. I think I was more freaked out by Venus, with its gas clouds that drained your air quickly.
And, if we count non-Earth moons, that game also had Jupiter's moon Io, which I remember being moderately hard due to the really high gravity and erupting volcanoes. I think one of Uranus's moons was also there, but I don't remember too much about that level, aside from it having surprisingly low gravity.
Those levels were hard as hell as a kid.
Paper Mario: TTYD's got one towards the end of the game. Though that's technically 2.5 D.

And "Reality" is unveiled. What did it want...? What did it see...? What did it hear...? What did it think...? What did it do...?Stinkoman 20X6
I have a message from another time...^^ Yeah, I already saw that but didn't count it since it looked 3d to me.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayMega Man X 8 had The Very Definitely Final Dungeon on the moon, kinda.

"badass" doesn't anything in after used end fail be fine.Would Worms count?
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI remember The Magic School Bus Explores The Solar System...
Neptune was bizarre. You, like, fell down into Neptune and had to fly up after a few screens or something. I can't remember what Uranus was like, though. Was it on a moon?
Also, final boss from Kirby's Adventure is on the moon. The battle even causes part of it to explode.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! You terrible, terrible people. Making me post this.
EDIT: Oh, it was in the OP. Oh well, DUCKTALES WOO-OO

Yeah, that's probably the most famous moon level of all time.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayKirby's Adventure has a boss fight on the moon, if that counts.
Yoshi's Island has a boss battle on a false moon made by Kamek.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture Rack
Which 2d videogames have levels set on the moon? The only ones I can think of are Duck Tales and Super Mario Land 2.
