Just a little note: I never had a city in mind for the place that Nathan lives...I just looked up big cities in the general region I had in mind, and Toledo, Ohio seemed to initially fit the bill. So I said that for the CD Ts, but it's not likely to be canon.

Oh cool, welcome back!
So I just got back from my trip (or rather, from work immediately after my trip). I saw the eclipse yesterday morning - the total one... and it was nothing short of beautiful, and stunningly powerful. Also I had eclipses, so technically I could look directly at the sun... sort of. A total eclipse can be viewed with the naked eye though - just have to look away once it's over.
Anyway, I'm quite tired due to having a very early morning flight back, so if I don't get to posting much tonight, that's why. Gonna try and catch up as best I can these next couple of days...

It seems that according to wiktionary
, "maggot" is a slang term for a fan of Slipknot. I don't know whether the term is derogatory or not, but that got me picturing Rolph as an avid Black Metal fan with a disdainful attitude towards Nu Metal fans, as in "I eat your kind for breakfast".

Well, his universe does have some shoutouts to real life culture, including music genres. I bet Cravyn growling would sound pretty impressive...
Having a Draconic Humanoid as a vocalist has a bonus of saving money for pyrotechnics for live performances.
Due to a snafu, I have an unexpected amount of free time on my hands today. Might use it to finally get that post in Space Liner out.

It's been over three weeks (if not more) since I last posted in Dream II, and I'm not feeling any more motivated to make a post now then I did back then. To be honest I haven't been feeling motivated to do any writing at all recently.
So I'm just going to make it official: I'm dropping out of Dream II again. Will and Tanuki, feel free to handwave your characters heading elsewhere if you wish.

So I haven't really kept up with Space Liner outside of the area my character is at - where would be good places for a newcomer to teleport in to?

Actually, I have a new location in mind, which Emriel could take Claire to. Maybe if I have the time I could introduce that new location in my new post.
EDIT: And done. I hope Claire is not afraid of heights. Although Eneritan is yet another Orenyan location (the name is Latori for "cloud town"), I'm aiming for it to be much like the Shinkyo Market District, in that a bunch of other things could appear in the clouds, like spaceships, floating stars, or flying pigs. Though I will admit that the place is inspired by the cloud city from Star Wars and the various Bubbly Clouds of the more whimsical video games.
...And I see I am still not free from having to do one post with Sinistrina for every post with any of my other characters, as has seemed to be the case lately. Though the fact that she's in two threads does not help. Also, when I looked again at Sinistrina's introductory post in Space Liner (because I linked to it in my Dream II post), I noticed that in the Nebula Lobby post directly below it, I had Carlotta tell Rebecca pretty much exactly what Sinistrina just told Dante (with Rebecca listening) about Lucina's execution habit. Hooray for repeated information!
@Daird: Did you miss the question Sinistrina asked Rebecca at the end of my post, or did Rebecca just not feel like answering it?
@Millership: That spa post has got to be the shortest CDT post I've ever seen in all my time on the threads... though I bet those more experienced than me have seen shorter. Not that there's anything wrong with short of course... one might call it... concise.

@nrjxll sorting out beginning-of-the-semester stuff, mostly. Also having a hard time coming up with what Seilaan should do next.
My apartment still doesn't have Internet, by the way. Except now it's on the property management instead of Comcast. I don't remember if I updated y'all on this already but basically Comcast had been repeatedly lying to us about being able to give us service every time we called to ask why their technicians never visited as promised and AT&T does not offer a bandwidth in this area that's adequate for the number of people in our apartment, so last month we had to ask management to set things up with Comcast. They're going about it pretty slowly.

@Lady T, I thought "quickly coughing up a short post to move things forward" is a bit better than "beating myself up for a week trying to squeeze out a long post when the situation doesn't allow it".

Wow, my condolences. I'm no stranger to the woes of having Comcast as your apartment's only internet service, but the management were always pretty sympathetic (it's not like there were other options in the area - despite being in downtown Washington D.C....)
Speaking as someone who's unfortunately has to have comcast, I also know how shitty they are. When we moved to this house they were suppose to give my tv a new cable thingy I can't think of the actual name right now.
That was back in July.
It's almost the end of August and I still can't watch TV.
Long story short, I'll fight everyone at Comcast for you, memer.
Classes starting back up again today. Less intensive semester than the last few, so we'll see how it effects things, if much at all.
