Ah hell, may as well. With my own 2 year anniversary fast approaching I feel it's a proper time to say...thank you. All of you. You're probably the best group of friends I could have asked for at this point. Sure, the age difference makes people I know question me talking to loads of people online as does my choice of fandom. But...you all helped me reignite my love of Pokemon, helped me learn to make fully fleshed out characters. You all helped me craft a story that I could truly love to write. People I can true connect with.

Sure, I've fought tooth and nail with some of you, gotten angry when I shouldn't have....hell, name called. And...I wanna apologize for that. I'd blame my anxiety, but it's mostly me and me alone, so I'm sorry.

I suppose all that I can say...is Happy 5th Anniversary WAAP Ters. Here's to many great stories to come, and many new friends to meet. I can say with no doubt...I love you guys.

Would anyone be up for writing Roark for a Gym Challenge either tonight or sometime in the near future?

Well, it certainly looks like a Robot Me version of Diancie, so it would be a wasted opportunity if there was nothing linking the two beyond coincidence. Role-wise, I can't really come up with anything, since we know nothing about Volcanion's purpose either and it's currently the only link to the plot this new thing has.

Why are we talking in spoilers? There's no reason to.

Isn't there a spoiler policy for new material regarding the games?

There is here, but I was tentatively unsure where this would fall on it, so was playing it safe. Looking at it again, something this early likely wouldn't count, but I guess Tagg or Tangent should still chip in?

I don't see a point since it's pre-release material and one Pokémon that's showing up in a movie rather than a whole new game getting announced.

Also we don't even know what's happening next 100%, so it's way too early for spoiler policy.

Okay, yeah then, so lowdown:

New Pokemon revealed, basically looks like Steampunk Diancie but confirmed to have a connection to Volcanion, so unknown if our first G7 mon or a new event mon that can only be obtained in Z or something. Its Japanese name is Magiana; given how Legendaries and some other mons are meant to have the same names across languages will likely be same in English or close.

So I want to do my own post in honor of the RP's fifth anniversary (even though I'm late to the party. shut up D:<).

It's hard to believe it's been so long. I joined about a month before the first anniversary, I was in 10th grade back then. Damn. Before joining the RP, I never was really a part of any online communities. But y'all drew me in and I made some of the best friends I've ever had here. In the four years since I've joined, this community has become my home, and I hope to see it continue for many years more. Those of you who were around this time of year back in 2013 know just how much I owe to my friends here. Thank you all for everything you've ever done for me, and thank you for reading my rambling late-night thoughts here.

Update!

1: Holy hell it's been busy at work lately. Some genius decided that February was the perfect time to have both National Spay Month and Dental Health Month. This means that I have, on average, ten or more surgeries a day. Averaging ten minutes in length each, not including downtime in between each. Which means holy crap guys it's only been halfway through the month and I'm just about ready to scream I'm so tired.

2: Home Internet still broken. And I can't figure out how to fix it, all of these wires look the exact same why do they not label these things riisjfjdhdiwkapapfjjr

3: Turns out that work's firewall does not like anything relating to XMPP. Pidgin nearly exploded when I tried loading it up. I'm gonna have to do some finagling to fix that, if they'll let me.

4: XCOM 2 IS OUT AND IT'S SO FUN

5: I'll try and be there for the next world in Pokesona.

6: Feb 23 is going to be the day I do not show up. Because that's Spay Day. Remember that Spay Month I mentioned? This is the big day of it. It's the only day all year where we take walk-in surgeries. I... I might try and call in sick that day. I don't care if I live with my boss, I'm gonna try.

tl;dr One Mew's a Troll, another is even worse, a third is decent but never leaves its hovel in Holon, and a fourth is also decent but is generally more preoccupied with writing romantic fiction than actually doing much with its powers. So there you go.

Oh, just a shout-out to those helping with the intensive thing wondering where I am, I had some family stuff tonight but should hopefully be back within an hour or so.

Magiana does seem to be a "Mew Archetype" mon (the sort of cute fae critter with 100s cross the board like Mew, Celebi and Jirachi), but is no more of a "rip off" or "clone" than Bunnelby is of Rattata or Delphox is of Charizard by virtue of happening to share an archetype.
