This subfora is so slow lately..
And don't say never.
I've had articles published in a local paper and a short story for a contest (waaaaay back in fifth grade). No book deals or magazine articles— yet.
Thanks for the all fish!yes, Ronka!! That's what I'm talkin bout!!

I had a poem published in the highschool newspaper when I was 16. I actually got a lot of compliments on it both from my fellow students and staff, because unlike a lot of the poetry published in the paper (I.E., exactly what you'd expect teenagers to write, and usually on the subject of lost loves or evil parents), it was an uplifting piece about dreams.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~Madrugadayeah!!

Still have the poem?
That I do. I've got it all... right here. *taps side of head*
Hurry! Hurry!
Dawn is nigh!
Take one last leap
Into the sky
One final flight
Before the quake
Of trembling light
Cause you to wake.
Dreamwings molt
When dreamers rise
They slowly rub
Their starry eyes
But though grounded,
Like a kite,
They'll fly again
Come blessed night.
Wow, that was really good!! ^_^
Wrote a piece for the high school paper, if that counts. They had printed an opinion piece that was controversial and...shall we say, uninformed, with no dissenting opinion opposite. So I whipped up a counterpiece, which they ran in the next article.
I also wrote a poem about Darfur that won a school contest, and $50. I think that ended up in the paper too. Not bad for a quick jolt of inspiration and 30 minutes in the library after school. *
Other than that, no, nothing published.
Look, you can't make me speak in a logical, coherent, intelligent bananna. That definitely counts!!
Good job!
This probably doesn't count at all, but I once submitted some Tails Doll creepypasta to the Quacker and Bowen "Curse of the Tails Doll" site. * And the site owner praised it and hosted it. 8D I could prolly go find it if I had to.
..yeah, that's all I got.
tout est sacré pour un sacreur (Avatar by Rappu!)Got an email the other day about how one of my stories was accepted for my college's literary magazine. Woohoo! (Also, I once got a story in an anthology of works by preteen writers, but I later found out that they took virtually everything sent to them so they could charge the writers for copies of their own stories.)

That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulWell, all I've wrote is a pretty long Naruto fanfic series, so unless Kishimoto decides he wants to start an Expanded Universe, that's not getting published ever.
However, I'd be very happy if my upcoming Na No Wri Mo novel got published once I'm done editing it all.
No one believes me when I say angels can turn their panties into guns.I was one of two writers to win a contest to take over Jed Shaffer's writing gig over at http://www.wrestlecrap.com/rwtb.html Had five stories published there, working on the sixth. So it's not print publication, but I do work with an editor, and I did get the gig on the merit of my work.
Yes, but only in limited supply. It qualifies as Old Shame for multiple reasons...
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. My friend writes fanfiction of my series, does that count?
Read my stories!I guess it does, ARGHH.
I had two friends tell me they were already planning fanfic for my novel. In both cases it was Fan-Preferred Couple* fic. I'll take what I can get.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaIn third grade, I joined a writing workshop that helped us with writing about a "small moment" and they put all of them in a book and gave copies to everyone, so I'm not sure if that counts. Mine was about getting my German Shepherd. I think it's pretty good for an 8 year old.

Warm hugs and morally questionable advice given here. Prosey BitchfestI am published in high school magazines and the Foundation. That's pretty much it.

Is there no one who's published on a more...wider....scale?
absolutely not, what are you talking about?
Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka ficsI've cowritten two academic papers about art conservation, but it's really not comparable. (Besides, the journal they were published in is not peer-reviewed.)
How many people have had their work published or used by another person before in this subfora?
Because I'm curious.
