This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.
Original post
I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

Ah. Okay, then. I'll make a Sandbox page for the work once it's no longer Unpublished, and is under the Troper Works/Fanfiction namespace. Thanks, Fighteer.
The Game should be unlocked so it can be made into a disambiguation page.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Azureblade49 still hasn't been unlocked. Can someone please unlock it?
We already said to put it in Web Original. Namespaces, people.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Fair enough. Can you at least unlock it so I can make it into a redirect?
I put the redirect in myself.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Here's a controversial one. Playing With/Pokémon should be unlocked as a "Just For Fun" page. Playing with a work's basic premises as if it was a trope should be permissible, especially for easily recognizable franchises.
Professor Zizoloziz, from Zyzzlvaria speaking. No, that's not what Playing With is for. You can't Subvert or Invert or Invoke a work.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Works have basic premises, which serve the functions of a trope. Also, most works are known by a distinct combination of tropes, which lack a page when they are played with together. As you mentioned, you can't subvert or invert a work, but you can subvert the basic premises of it, especially when entries in a series are similar. I recommend excluding the "Invoke" from the page, since it would apply the same way to each work's premises. Also, it would be a "Just for Fun" entry, which would not require a serious interpretation.

Professor Zizoloziz, from Zyzzlvaria speaking.No. Playing With is not possible with a work. That is absolute, so stop asking.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Fine, I will stop talking now, and resume editing.
Professor Zizoloziz, from Zyzzlvaria speaking. Please unlock Have You Told Anyone Else? so I can finish the move, or someone else can.
Fight smart, not fair.Wasn't locked. There was nothing there that required mod intervention except moving the discussion page. Sub-pages are moved by cut-and-paste plus the Cut List for sub-pages no longer required. To swap redirects around (Have You Told Anyone Else? was redirecting to ptitlek166hpb9) you need to contruct a "direct" editing url: in this case https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HaveYouToldAnyoneElse?action=edit
That's all fixed now.
Well, when I tried to edit the redirect, it was redirecting me. So I thought it was locked.
Fight smart, not fair.Fair enough. And I briefly created a circular redirect and caused causality to collapse for a bit.
Could Godivas be unlocked? I just wanted to add a redirect to Series.Godivas.
Added the redirect.
Thanks!
If You Know What I Mean was cut too early. We can't exactly continue with our sinkhole hunt if we can't find the wicks. And there are still a couple thousand left.

related to when cut 2582 links
related to now - less than 250.
We need the page restored (you can keep it redlinked, if you like.) to get rid of the sinkholes. Some of the pages may not have been edited in years, which makes them extremely hard to find.

Keeper of The Celestial FlameAlso, that custom title needs to be nuked so the link will display properly when posted on the Permanent Red Link Club page.
We have some folks who like to find (apparently) disused sandbox pages and cutlist them. Not sure why, exactly.
