I voted Headscratchers (that's how it's written?) already

"Darth Wiki is for arguments, this is for questions."

As an aside, Darth Wiki (at least, the So Bad Its Horrible pages) have defined standards that tend to keep the "riffraff" out (that is, works that demonstrably are critically panned both from average audiences and the fanbase as an almost complete whole). That section isn't a place to vent about something that you personally think is horrible.

As to the actual topic, I like the "Headscratchers" name. Hope it cuts out all the pointless sniping between people (which I've seen on way too many IJBM pages).

As an aside, I went and backed up the entire Just Bugs Me namespace (along with article histories and discussions) yesterday (20 hours ago), just in case.

Change is in. If you run across an index that is all redlinks for JustBugsMe | Headscratchers, it just needs a null edit.

Don't particularly like the new name and I feel like the new emphasis on what Headscratchers is is different than what I always thought the section was about, but not worth arguing over, mostly because I agree with the bit on Failure Is the Only Option with arguments anymore, though.

All the old IJBM pages have wicks on them that don't belong there anymore. :[

Can we put 'It Just Bugs Me' as a redirect to Headstratchers? (I got that right, right?)

You know, I'm not sure why we have the Fridge namespace after all of this.

Is there a way I can hide the button with adblock or something? Seeing as my feedback made no difference, it's my only option at this point other than staying away from works pages altogether. I'm not trying to be dramatic, but the new name genuinely makes my skin crawl.

The bug was only part of the problem. Otherwise I'd have complained back when it was IJBM.

Can we make it so that any url pointed at a JustBugsMe-namespaced page gets auto-redirected to the equivalent Headscratchers page instead? (and probably auto-lock the entire namespace afterward like we did with Troper Works?) Right now, going to a JBM-url gives Headscratchers as a custom title, but still retains the old namespace and doesn't display the moved content.

I think this is definitely a step in the right direction; the only argument against that I can think of is the Grandfather Clause.

I assume we'll be changing the just bugs me icon; If/when we do, could we keep the current one as an emoticon for the fora?

Don Zabu had a point. What is the difference between just bugs me and idea now, if they're both asking questions about why someone did or didn't do something else?

Edit: Never mind, after a trip though the archives, I guess we never really got a consensus going one way or the other that stuck. We probably should at some point.

repeating a question that I asked already but didn't get an answer for:Is it ok for someone to make a Head Scratcher thread? I assume that was What the original IJBM forum was meant to be for.

I'm glad we're making a change, but it seems like any name can be misused the same way Just Bugs Me was. For example:

- It's a headscratcher why anyone bought this shitty game.

- I'm scratching my head over the fact they released this movie I don't like.

- It's a real headscratcher that anyone thought she could act.

- I've scratched myself bald trying to imagine how anyone could not want to strangle this director.

- My fingernails are now fused with my skull because of this show's popularity.

I thought idea was for Fridge Brilliance.

Which makes me think: just idle musing here, but maybe we could just call it Fridge Logic instead of Headscratchers and the icon could be a broken bulb? Just my $0.02.

^^ Just delete that crap. There is no name that can't be twisted in that fashion.

Old links to the Just Bugs Me namespace are now being redirected to Headscratchers.

Why are potholes to Just Bugs Me and It Just Bugs Me! leading to that broken nested namespace redirect?

Ugh, man, are you serious? We're seriously using "Headscratchers"? :/ What a stupid name. I suppose there's nothing I can do about it, though, not that there was enough time to decide. Why can't we hold of discussion and changes til the end of the month, at least?

Eddie, I tried looking at the edit history for a Just Bugs Me page — Final Fantasy VII specifically, and it seems to be missing a big chunk of data. Was this a side-effect of the move? Can we preserve page history across this transition?
