Rumor about the Flash director

The rumor is that Robert Zemeckis is in meeting with WB to direct the Flash. It should be noted that WB is meeting with a lot of directors.

It's a stretch but I predict that when Superman comes back, he'll be wearing the red trunks.

We already know that he's going to wear a black costume when he comes back, though.

Maybe it'd be nice to see Robert Zemeckis get back to his effects-heavy sci-fi roots. Hopefully he's gotten all the insistence on 'motion capture is the wave of the future!' out of his system and can just focus on making a good, slightly zany adventure movie.

And superheroes never ever change costumes in movies. Ever.

He might change it, but it doesn't change the fact that he will be wearing the black costume when he comes back. That's been confirmed.

And unless he's wearing it the entirety of the movie, there's nothing stopping him from changing into something lighter.

I'm not disputing that. I'm saying that we know for a fact that he will be wearing his black costume when he comes back to life. Whether or not he changes costumes after that is irrelevant. He will be wearing the black costume, we have it confirmed. That's what someone was talking about — what he would be wearing when he came back to life.

They didn't say he'd be wearing it the second he's resurrected.

Wasn't he buried as Clark? So, he'll need to find a new suit.

Clark will have a Disney Death in every movie he shows up in. He was knocked unconscious by the world engine exploding, nuked, and the fight with Doomsday didn't end too well for him. But, he can recover as long as the central nervous system is intact and he has plenty of sunlight.

Or Clark is wearing the black suit while the blue one is being repaired. Because even advanced alien tech is only so fast.

Snyder was a little coy but he did suggest his hair would be longer. The black suit according to lore was to help him recharge his solar energy. But in the Knightmare he was wearing his normal suit, assuming it is a predictive future rather than an approximate future.

A number of people are predicting that Superman will end up fighting the League briefly, which will probably be their Darkest Hour. There is a glimpse in the sizzle reel of Cavill practicing a fight scene barechested with Ezra Miller in a strange harness, so that actually seems likely.

Robert Zemeckis directing The Flash sounds neat, but he'd better make my long, long, long-awaited Who Framed Roger Rabbit sequel after that.

A quick Google search for the author of the unmade WWII-set prequel led me to this article and now I'm in fanboy tears all over again.

So I just watched the Justice League trailer. The second one I mean. I don't usually watch trailers because it seems like a really bad way to judge a movie but I had nothing else to do so...

Why I'm posting though, looking for comic JL fans to help me out here. All I got is the DCAU and the few episodes of Teen Titans. Since when is Cyborg a Leaguer? How old is he supposed to be?

Like, when I was talking with a friend the other day about upcoming movies and dragging her to see them with me, I said we have to see Justice League. I was telling her what, in my mind, was gonna be in it. Boy was I off. I did not see Cyborg coming. And where the hell is a Green Lantern? A GL isn't part of the...I think my more informed friends used to call them the Big 7? But no, there's no Hal Jordan or John Stewart or anybody. Is that just the DCAU talking? I've always just heard a Green Lantern toted as one of the top defenders of Earth in DC.

Also this is neither here nor there but aren't there any leading lady GL's?

Cyborg being in the JL was introduced in the New 52.

He had been a Leaguer at different points before then, New 52 made him a founding member in place of J'onn J'onnz. He was actually in Superfriends shortly after his introduction in the comics, and was part of the proto Justice League in Smallville. It's not hard to see a number of the changes made in the New 52 as anticipating the movie.

Truth is Cyborg has been a roaming character throughout the DCU. He's most associated with the Teen Titans, in part due to the cartoon, but he has been almost everywhere.

And apparently no GL is founding the DCEU League is due entirely to that shit movie a few years ago. What a crock.

In brighter news, the new Rebirth GL comics focus on a couple ladies. I'll see about picking that series up.

You should read the current comic Green Lanterns by Sam Humphries. It's about two new GLs who protect Earth while Hal is away — and they are Jessica Cruz, a former shut-in, and Simon Baz, an Lebanese-American who had been imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay. It explores both of their characters in depth and it's pretty awesome.

The other GL comic is Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps, which includes Soranik, who used to be a GL before she became a Yellow Lantern.
