It's because the characters are annoying, and their personalities stay the same no matter what lesson is learned.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Also, when it gets Anvilicious, IT GETS ANVILICIOUS! So this rear end in a top hat show can become unbearable at times.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Okay.
So, back on topic, who is your favorite Gumball character introduced so far? I personally am taking a shine to Miss Simian. She seems great as an antagonistic character. Also, about the show itself, I love how seamlessly the characters blend in with each other and the environment despite being completely different art styles. It's a real treat to look at and it amazes me how they managed to get it to work without making it clash terribly.

Not sure. I like Gumball's matter-of-fact way of talking and his ideas. I also like how the father is extremely childish.
Gumball's mom. All of my favorite scenes involve her.
I think I like Darwin the best so far. He's a rather interesting concept, a pet fish that somehow evolved into a walking, talking member of the family. He's got some pretty funny lines and seems to be the voice of reason for Gumball, despite going along with his outrageous schemes.
A Winner is You!dmysta 3000: Openings for Cartoon Network shows have had a real trend toward minimalism in the last couple years: Adventure Time has a 25 second opening, Robotomy's opening was 11 seconds, Problem Solverz had 12 seconds of exposition, and Regular Show just has a 3-second title card flash. Even the half-hour shows like Generator Rex, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, and Symbionic Titan only have intros 21, 21, and 15 seconds long. For comparison the original Ben10 theme song was three times that long.
For the most part it's something I can get behind: air time is valuable and episodes fitting in as much as the writers want is more important than having some ridiculous intricate thing that's far better animated and generally much more memorable than anything actually in the show. Especially when they're premiering 11-minutes show episodes by themselves instead of
Still, cutting out an opening that was already only 15 seconds is excessive minimalism.
I always thought Darwin was just another child of the family who happened be a walking fish. You're questioning this, in a show with a monkey teacher, talking dinosaurs, and classmates who are bananas, doughnuts, and cacti?
Don't believe me? It's All There in the Manual

A Winner is You!What manual?
CN's character list.
A Winner is You!You know, it would help a lot if one actually posts a link to said character list just only because simply saying "it exists" doesn't seem to be very useful to people that don't have a clue where to find it.
When I first saw the commercials for this I was a little put off by the character design of Darwin, but now that Ive watched it I can say that it works.
The mixed media is great, I especially liked the monkey teacher even though I only saw her for a few moments.
I have only seen the one show "The Responsible" Not sure if each segment of it had a different title but the second part with the DVD rental was amusing. I especially liked the chase scene with Gumball's mom.
Looking forward to more of this one.
It had a title; just "The DVD".

New episode is on now.
The Power of Friendship: The Episode.
It's times like this when I highly dislike being on the West Coast.

Now, why couldn't they use real hand puppets? Aren't those.... um... cheaper?
It would probably look out of place.
You're worried about puppetry looking out of place in a show that uses live-action photo backgrounds and CG characters?
And I still don't see the inherent badness that comes of the fact that it's Johnny Test. I never liked the episodes, but I never hated them either. This seems very unprecedented from my end, honestly.
