... How in the world was it supposed to be that?
Ben said so in an interview, but I could only find it on a 4Chan thread that now seems non-existing. So, IDK where to find the proof.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThey've definitely been pitching up Kwesi Boakye's voice up for a while. They might've been doing it in the first season, even.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Tonight's episode, "The lesson", Was exactly the kind of stuff I meant by "Cuckoo's Nest". It was a pretty grim yet again great ep, but I think the cast is dabiling into more semi-darker themes. That whole break out sceen doesn't just happen without consulting The Great Escape for guidance.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWell that was kind of depressing.
I thought it was an ok ep. The bomb guy reminded me of classic Max.F (Felix The Cat creator)cartoons. I just keep wondering where the Hell Anais is nowadays, because since she's also part of the school's cast, she should be seen more. Especially this episode, with her already having a plan at hand.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI like the episodes involving the Watterson family instead of the school episodes, personally.
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied. It's like a trade off - they seem to want to do more episodes focusing on Gumball's classmates this season, but doing so neglects his family unless they can get his family into the school (which to be fair they did quite a bit of in the first season). We haven't really gotten an episode about Nicole (or even featuring Nicole to a major extent) since "The Job."
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I agree it's odd that Anais being in the same school comes up so infrequently, but she wasn't there in "The Lesson" for the same reason none of the other students were: it was spring break, they weren't supposed to be there unless they had super detention.
What about the Christmas Episode and "The Authority"?

Oh yeah, forgot about those.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Well, speak of the devil: Kwesi Boakye and Logan Grove just announced on their Twitter accounts that Gumball and Darwin are being recast for the third season (they're not mad or anything if you're wondering).
I wonder if either will ever make a minor appearance as another character, sort of like how a Aaron Dismuke did in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Darwin's voice actor does the voice of Gossamer in The Looney Tunes Show, but judging by their age, I'd say they would work better as Beware The Batman cameos.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justice^^ They could do like Hey Arnold, and have their former voice actors show up as recurring characters or something (one of Arnold's voice actors came back as bully Wolfgang, and another came back as another bully Ludwig).
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.That... Sounds like a good idea...
I meant in the same show.
I did not know that (despite having watched the series recently).

Well, like Known said, Go with the cameo bully or something.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThere's supposed to be a episode airing this month called "The Limit" That's faced on Nicole getting upset with her family at the supermarket.
I also saw a preview of this episode called "The Castle."
Edit: Video removed for copyright. So typical.

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied. The castle seemes like another depressing Richard-based episode. After "The hero", I decided that half of Richard's eps are either crazy or pretty emotional.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceAnother episode centered around Nicole going nuts? Count me in.
I like to imagine that The Fridge happened during a time when Nicole was skimping on her Anger Management sessions - it makes an already chuckle-worthy episode like a million times funnier.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Nicole just steals the spotlight whenever she's on screen. She's that awesome!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI'll kinda miss Gumball and Darwin's old VAs.
This means that viewers will have to go through that awkward phase of getting used to new voices for established characters, much as the new VAs themselves will. It's Ocean Dub vs. Funimation dub all over again!
"The Game" was a funny episode. Would this ep be an example of the most dangerous (board) game?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI don't think they changed their voices just yet. But I'm gonna miss those two.
As for tonight's episode, it kind of parodied Jumanji to the point.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNo, but it is an example of its Super-Trope, The Game Plays You.
I don't think Beary Scary was saying they were already, just mentioning it in advance.
I got a couple pretty good laughs (especially Donut Cop refusing to look away from Richard and Gumball's "Do you really want to see me clean myself with my tongue?"), but the episode did end rather abruptly.
I looked at the preview for the "The Limit".

Well, in retrospect, it was suppose to be like an animated One Flew Overthe Cuckoo'sNest, and compared to the betrayal and craziness in that film, it really makes sense in some TAWOG episodes.
