Evangelion RP

I'm fully aware that there's another currently active Eva RP, but it's full, and I also want to try a different setting then what they're doing.

Essentially, this will cover the events of the original anime. However, there are some crucial differences in the backstory of the universe. Second Impact, of course, has occured, which resulted in the death of half the human population. Most events are the same as canon. However, Yui was not the one to test Eva-01 due to several schedualing errors, therefore she was not absorbed into the Evangelion. Her later death was due to unrelated circumstances. Gendo and Shinji's relationship is also far better in this version of the universe.

However, there's still the soul of a child's mother in each Evangelion. The Angels are still coming, NERV still is in much the same state as it was in canon, for the most part the universe is the same as it is in canon.

But these changes have led to different children being selected to pilot the Evangelions.

R Pers will be playing these pilots, and of course some of NERV's officers and technicians.

• Name: Yuki Sawabe
• Age: 13
• Gender: male
• Occupation: Student and Eva Pilot of Unit 04
• Appearance: A red head teenager, he has dark gray eyes and very Bi Shonen features, he has been trying to work out and learn martial arts to make up for his girly name and has achieved some results. He has an ugly scar on his back from a "temper tantrum" from his father. He usually wears a white long sleeved button up shirt, black pants, and boots. His really messed up sister sometimes makes him dress up in more feminine clothes due to her...many, many issues. Yuki's stance is somewhat relaxed, and his face usually has a vacant look on it.
• Personality: Yuki is heavily impacted by the circumstances of his birth and what he is, a product of rape. His father was normal once, but when his mother wound up raped by a westerner, he was produced as a result. His father did not want to believe this was his son and so named him Yuki, a very feminine name. His sister-in-law from his father's first marriage, Tsukiumi Andou, took to this very, very easily. Yuki is often thought of as a jerkass at his school because he is always acting masculine and like a bully. He seems to off-and-on love or hate his sister. Yuki was cursed with a severe inability to keep it in his pants, and as a result, is Bi The Way, and is often desperate for "action". He takes to Eva Piloting quite well indeed, and will become something of a Blood Knight who finds combat fun and enjoying ripping apart angels.
• History: Yuki was born as the son of his mother, Saya Sawabe, and a westerner who took advantage of her in an alleyway. Yuki was born as a result, to a very rich father who had already had one marriage and the result of that was his older sister Tsukiumi Andou. Yuki was named such because his father did not want him for a son and would have preferred a daughter. So, Yuki it was. He grew up trying to become more masculine, going through weight training as early as nine, and learning martial arts. He became a bully by eleven, egged on by Tsukiumi, who always watched him hurt people. She would then walk in and comment. There is a persistent rumor going around that Yuki and his sister are involved romantically, though this might be true or false. His mother died shortly after his third birthday. His father is a mostly insane man, and can be compared to King Hamdo.

I smell a fix-fic

Hmm... I think the character would be more effective if he was more... subtle. I'm not asking you to remove all of this, I'm asking you to make his backstory and such more subtlely written so it's more effective.

Also, I forgot to mention this, but all pilots have dead mothers.

It's merely to explain why Shinji isn't piloting.

HEY ANNO IT'S ME, I'M GIVING YOU MY OFFICIAL RP VIRGINITY RIGHT HERE

Name:Saiki Sakura

Age: 14

Gender:Female

Occupation:Student and pilot of Evangelion Unit-01.

Appearance: Sakura stands about five foot three, with long brown hair often done up in twintails. She has bright blue eyes, and usually dresses pretty casually when she's not at school.

Personality: At first glance, Sakura seems like a healthy teenage girl. When she has an interest in something, she can be very enthusiastic and energetic, but when she's not invested, she isn't good at hiding her disinterest. However, she isn't particularly well equipped to deal with the pain and pressure of being an Eva pilot; everything bad that happens hits her hard. At first, even though she didnt volunteer for piloting and doesn't have a choice in the matter, at first she's just happy to help, to make the world a better, safer place, even at the cost of her freedom. That selfless attitude will almost certainly change, though, as time goes on, and she has to face what it really means to pilot an Evangelion.

History: Up until her recruitment as an Eva pilot, Sakura has led a fairly normal life. Her mother, a minor technician in NERV, disappeared fairly early on in her life, so she has very few memories of her. She lives alone with her father. He loves her, but he's grown distant since her mother died, detatched, as if he's afraid to get to close; as a result, she's learned to be self sufficient to an extent. She's lived in Tokyo-3 all of her life, her entire family outside of her parents killed during the Second Impact. Sakura doesn't have many friends, but she's very close with those she does have.

• Name: Kei Takahashi
• Age: 14
• Gender: Female
• Occupation: Pilot, Unit-03
• Appearance: Kei is short, and slightly built, with long black hair normally kept tied in a single tail, and dark brown eyes.
• Personality: Kei has a fairly major inferiority complex, mostly as a result of her father practically ignoring her while she was growing up in favour of her brother, and disparaging her when he could be bothered to give her any attention, at least until he died when she was ten, forcing the two of them to move in with their uncle. Whilst she has mostly repressed this as she's grown up, helped in part by the fact no other members of her family shared her father's sentiments, certain things may trigger it resulting in anything from mild anger to flat out rage.
• History: Kei had a fairly troubled upbringing. Her mother died in mysterious circumstances when she was barely able to walk, and her father was, more often than not, drunk, leaving her to be raised by her brother. The problem with that arrangement was that when her father was sober enough to care, he often went out of his way to heap praise on the boy whilst virtually shunning her; something which neither of them enjoyed. Thankfully for both of them, he was killed in a car accident, forcing them to move in with their uncle in Tokyo-3.

Thing's been up barely two hours and we've already filled four of the five pilot gigs.

Yeah, it's quite surprising. Well, I knew that I was going to have a couple people beforehand, but I'm surprised at how fast the pilot slots went.

I'm going to be writing up Eva-00's pilot soon.

I wonder if I should start drafting relevant NP Cs or not.

It might be a good idea, I've already got NP Cs set up, though player character Bridge Bunnies would be nice as well.

Gah, I can't decide what gender I want Eva-00's pilot to be. I guess I'll wait and see what gender Eva-02's pilot ends up being.

I'm... Somewhat tempted to join this, as I, uh, really like Eva, but I always have trouble keeping up with R Ps, and I'm already in a few at the moment... Hmmm...

...Okay, I might sign up tomorrow as a Bridge Bunny (no way I'd be able to keep up as an Eva pilot), so, um... Yeah. Hopefully it'll pan out, ahah.

• Age: 14
• Gender: Male
• Occupation: Student and pilot of Eva-00
• Appearance: Akihiko has a fairly normal height for his age, at five foot five. However, he appears almost underweight, barely looking at all healthy. He is thin and lacks any major muscle, making him quite skinny. He has green eyes, and his short hair is dark brown. He usually dresses in his school uniform, or exceedingly plain clothing.
• Personality: Akihiko is very ill-equipped socially. He lacks any idea of what to do around people, and usually tries to mimic the actions of those he sees around him. That is, if he has to. Akihiko tends to steer clear of human interaction unless it's necessary. When it is necessary, or when he's talked to, he tends to be extremely awkward, especially if the person in question is female. He places his wellbeing at very low value most of the time.
• History: Akihiko vaguely remembers his mother, who disappeared when he was very young. He has no memory of his father. He was found, at four years old, by NERV officers. This led to him growing up without parental care, but with minimal intervention from NERV due to several currently undisclosed events. He has already had his synch ratio test with Eva-00, resulting in him becoming a pilot for the prototype Eva.

That works quite well, accepted. And I'll do my best, though I'll be controlling a lot in this RP.

Well, actually, given my character is Bi The Way, Yuki would almost definitely try to score with Fukui.
