Probably not much. That description is vague enough, it could fit many works. If a creator were to intentionally create such a work, no one would likely notice.

Well, I made a type of fic like that, maybe just as you said, vague, but at least containing major inspirations in my life.

The name; it's Earth Warriors (Yeah, a bit cheesy but that's the best title I could think of for my inspired story.tongue)

Not really, this is an unusual introduction, though.

Ok guys, need some female characters rules. In my comic, the hero witness the dead of a woman. T His woman didn't have a name, it was only his job to follow her without being spotted.

She is killed in his presence by the bad guy, and this begins to haunt him.

Does this count as Stuffed On The Fridge or Disposable Woman?

Sorry, I really want to ask this. I don't want any problem with anyone.

Could be the latter, given that how little character she has. (No offense by the way.)

She doesn't have that much character, true. I need to fix this for chapter 2.

OK. Also, here's a question so I can know how I'm progressing to my story, for a decon-recon trope of the Jerkass Facade trope, it means that a character's false attitude could come of as damaging to both himself and the rest but at the same time doing some actions of the original self to let them know as a companion? I have a character that endures that.

Non-sequiter thought, not directly related to any of my writing: take a universe shaped by belief.

Add a being — a Physical God, freakishly advanced AI, Eldritch Abomination, or high-end Mad Scientist — who realizes this, and is both capable of and morally willing to mass produce artificial minds whose only purpose is to very passionately, unquestioningly believe a particular thing or set of things.

Just make sure your character is not that much of a jerk, so it can come off as right. If the character is an entire asshole, I will not care for your justifications, you're still an ass.

[up]Who is that Peter?

Also, I see from your observation. One of my characters of my story has that attitude but to a deconstructional degree.

Peter van Houten is a fictional author from The Fault in Our Stars. In-story, he wrote the protagonist's favorite book. The bulk of the plot surrounds the protagonist as she journeys to van Houten's home in Amsterdam to ask him about his book, and he turns out to be a massive dick. Much later on, when the protagonist is getting into her car in Indianapolis, he suddenly pops up in her backseat and we learn about how his book was inspired by his dead daughter.

Had my villain be a Politically Incorrect Villain so I could reference a joke from Mass Effect 2: in a world with Fantastic Racism, a nonhuman gets cornered by some of the villain's (human) guards under accusation of scoping out the villain's place to rob it (which she is), but she manages to weasel her way out with claims of discrimination, culminating in, "You humans are all racist!" Later, she mentions that the villain had violated equal opportunity laws in the past, so accusations of speciesism are a really touchy subject around there; they'd much rather not deal with her than try to show they're not speciesist.

Then I realized the heroes could use this to their advantage, with "You (non)humans are all racist!" being a last-ditch attempt to evade guards in the right circumstances when all else fails. The degree to which it works varies.

[up]Nice advice there.

Also, when making a character of another nation, is it fine to combine non-offensive stereotypes and some original aspects to it's nationality without being hurtful? I have some characters that are more of the latter.

This thread (and it's associated webcomic) is the best possible model you could have for something like that.

One of my friends said that the idea of me make 20-30 page episodic outlines is pretty undertaking. Is this a bad thing or something that's impressive?

I wrote a short novel based on a Lo L fanfiction I started writing like 5 years ago. Now I wanna write a sequel but I just don't know, man. The first part ended kinda abruptly and left a ton of plot threads hanging, but I have trouble to write it down and get it out of my system. I'm in this weird limbo'ish thing where I know what kinda story I wanna tell, but I don't know HOW I wanna tell it.

It's in German, though. So I dunno if I should even post it here. But, regardless: the novel'S called "Jojo Schmidt'S pretty bizarre summer", and it revolves around a mid-twenty'ish guy named Johannes Schmidt. He's a hikikomori, which means he hasn't left his appartment in three years after he tried to commit suicide and wasn't able to cope with a ton of changes in his life. A friend of his sends him a weird-ass Japanese visual novel on a burnt CD, which as it turns out "Weird Science"s one of the VN's main characters into Johannes' appartment. The girl, called Junko, is a kitsune, half fox and half human, who adopts traits and information via being connected to the internet at all time. Imagine the AI from "Her", but with a bushy tail and silly fox ears. And the entire thing is basically a story about communication, anxiety, depression and a heartbroken dude who befriends a seemingly unreal character in order to get back into the real world. It's a very "Video Girl Ai"'ish, "Welcome to the NHK"-kinda "Spice and Wolf"-affair with pinches of 90s-indie film and Nick Hornby-books.

Oh shit, this sounds way dumber than it actually is, I promise. I just don't know how to bring Johannes' story to a satisfactory end. I'm really bad at ending things, btw.
