I found Hera's ability to blow up the ship so easily at the end to be highly questionable.

Being able to make the computer on the other end explode seems in keeping with star wars, any computing seems to be getting too artificial brains to talk to each other and hope that they A) can cooperate and B) won't explode.

Everything in Star Wars explodes when it malfunctions.

What I find questionable is the idea that computing is an exact enough science that you could reprogram and remote a droid. Computing in Star Wars tends to be witchcraft. Then again these guys are cyborgs, so if anyone could, it's them.

Also I love Star Wars cyborgs, om glad to see more of them.

I don't think she was even planning to blow up their ship, just wipe out their systems. That, plus the dialogue from the villains and the set-up before it all went down, makes me think that maybe it was originally planned to have their ship be disabled (and maybe have them answer to Thrawn) before Filoni and co. went "screw it, go for impressive" and had everything explode instead.

Imo the important thing is what Maul himself said he was looking for. It wasn't revenge.

My prediction for Maul:

He will pick a fight with Kenobi, lose but not be killed instantly. He'll give a dying speech as we have an alas poor villain moment. As he is dying Kenobi will show him a holo of Luke, telling him that he did find what he was looking for: Hope. Cue credits.

Think Luke will hinted at or even possible appear as some sort of cameo in "Twin Suns"?

There's been a couple of hit and miss episodes for me this season, but generally speaking, the second half of Season 3 has been really good IMO. Also, I love Sabine.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Obi-Wan watching the Lars family from a distance.

The writers are probably limited with what that they can do with Luke pre-ANH. I would guess they want to keep Luke's origin pure, to enhance the mystique of the original movie.

Will it be too much of a Fan Wank if Obi-Wan almost gives in to the Dark Side and kills a defenseless Maul, but Qui-Gon's spirit stops him and Maul escapes?

I've only watched Rogue One once, so my memory of it is a little fuzzy. Can anyone confirm whether or not the Ghost was among the ships that escaped the Battle of Scarif?

I don't believe it is known.

EDIT: I was correct. It seems like the last time we see it is the shot of the fleet arriving over Scarif.

They could have made it out offscreen - we have no reason to assume the worst here.

I got the impression that most of the smaller ships got out okay (after all, Leia was able to leave the moment she wanted to).

True, but it could also be a good way to explain why they didn't participate in the Battle of Yavin....

We just won't know until the show gets to that point.

The battle of Yavin was fighters only because nothing else would work. The Millennium Falcon is the same class of ship as the Ghost, and the only thing it could do was take out enemy TI Es (at exactly the right time, but still).

I'm working under the assumption that the Ghost screw had something else going on at the time of A New Hope. For example, maybe Kanan and Ezra were elsewhere, and after the fleet retreated from Scarif, the Ghost went to join them.

Known: Leia wasn't in a freighter in the battle, though. She was in a corvette, docked with the lead capital ship, and she didn't try to leave until after the bulk of the fighting.

The Ghost's odds aren't great. They had to survive the entire battle, and had to be one of the lucky ones that weren't taken out by Vader. I wouldn't assume they perished, but I also wouldn't assume they survived, either. The Battle of Scarif was a bloodbath for the Rebels, and it happens in a movie where the Ghost's crew doesn't have Plot Armour.

I don't see why they wouldn't have Plot Armor, really - they're protagonists on a fairly popular show.

Really, what do you think is the most likely outcome?

Vader attacked and boarded the flagship, specifically. As far as we know he didn't go after any of the smaller vessels involved in the battle moreso than the other forces already present did.

Given the current time progression I'm guessing ANH and R1 will be the season 5 finale. Unless they're going for a Downer Ending they'll probably have them survive.
