He was a bad guy then
Where there's life, there's hope.Vanderkaum thinks you're all slackers! And yes he's also evil. Or at least antagonistic. Gotta say I like the beards the new guys have better than the cross shaped facial tattoos.
Comparing Ether energy to the Force is actually pretty accurate:it's everywhere and most people know that it is, but only a few people can use it and even fewer have any real proficiency. Good way to look at it.
EDIT: And today in videogame cruelty, I have a pre-Mechonis Core save file. I'm trying to get a perfect affinity chart, so I'm talking to some NP Cs that don't seem to have enough links when I notice there's a High Entia girl with NO links: Lunara. She's a night-appearing child, which is unusual, and next to Mir'leiz on the chart. "well that's pretty obvious" I say before going to meet her. She talks about Daddy not coming back. Daddy was an Imperial Guard during the Mechon attack. Tragic, and also no affinity link. So I kick the time to her departure hour and she RACES off, which I've never seen an NPC do.
Catch up to her and her dialogue is sobbing about how she's been waiting for days and daddy doesn't love her anymore. (And STILL no affinity link.)
Now confused I reset the hour one last time and she's back where she was, and now she's talking about Mir'leiz getting mad on her behalf, and how she loves her new big brother. Heartwarming, right?
As I left I noticed she has large headwings.

I hope they at least learned to make their Nopon character more tolerable this time.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Oh boy. After beating the game once so many High Entia are so sad to talk to.
I'll really need to seek her out on my next run-though the game.
I think I'll try and play it again before the next game comes out if I can.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome Rob1 and 1 isn't too bad.
Yeahhhhh.
I'm at Mechonis Core. Of course I've been there for literal months, unwilling to finish the last few Alcamoth quests...
SO ON TOPIC, what are we hoping to see in XBC 2? I want a small party with unique arts and skills, the latter of which can be shared between party members. I also want multi-character art combos a la Baten Kaitos Origins. A skill grid would be neat too.
It's not exactly a hard call to say that the meta systems will be either new to the series or more comparable to the first game than X.
I sure said that!I'd be fine with keeping most of XC's battle mechanics as they are, with Chain Attacks and stuff.
Obviously Visions have to go, though, assuming it's not part of XC 2's plot. They were a really cool mechanic, though, so I'd like to see something equally-creative take its place.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! What were they thinking when they came up with Tatsu? The antithesis to Riki? A Nopon that was meant to be bothersome?! Nobody wants that.
I hope we get a badass, Rated M for Manly Nopon next time.
Downside of the ensemble cast is that everyone has to be cut down to a archetype to be memorable. Elma's a hardass, Lin is a genius, Rook is Ramirez, and Tatsu is a walking gag. He'd be better if there was less focus on him.
Co-signed on Testosterone Poisoned Nopon, that would be hilarious.

My problem with Tatsu is that the joke really wasn't funny to me. I kinda wanted to punch Lin in the face after the dozenth threat to eat Tatsu.
I have a message from another time...Agreed. It wasn't funny and it was used WAY too much.
Well yeah, the thing about gags is that they're funny once in a while. And they're really funny when they just happen once.
I think we don't need to worry- Tatsu's issue was more he was an obnoxious 13 year-old than that he was a Nopon.
I sure said that!Tatsu's gag was only really funny when someone met him the first time, and when he actually deserved it, like when he went really overconfident.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."The overused Tatsu is food gag made me annoyed at Lin. The end of Chapter 6 made me want Tatsu to be the Sphinx's food.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyYeah, him bringing out the worst in Lin wasn't great either- She's a really charming character when Tatsu isn't ruining things.
But I'm confident we won't be dealing with anything similar in XC2.

I sure said that! The only good thing about Tatsu is his mom.
I think she could have taken that monster in a fight personally.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm pretty sure XCX 2 will be a direct sequel. They'll PROBABLY tone down the cooking jokes though.
Thing is, the title wasn't shown as Xenoblade Chronicles X 2. It was shown as Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Which makes me think it's gonna have more of a connection to the one on Bionis than to the one on Mira.
I have a message from another time...Well duh, but an X2 will probably also happen eventually. It had better, given how many things need to be resolved.
Trans rights are human rights.Honestly, how do we know there's no connection between Vanilla Chronicles and the X series.
Sure, it was mostly shout outs mythology gags, but there's still a lot we don't know.
One Strip! One Strip!Oh, XBC 2 isn't going to be a XCX sequel. At the same time, I DON'T think it's going to be a sequel to Shulk's adventures. Too much of the details are different.

This is Xenoblade. Kill God.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyTatsu wasn't the only problem with XCX's Nopon, they were also flanderized into an entire race of greedy merchants with no other defining traits.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
Really? I didn't know that.
One Strip! One Strip!
