20 years from now the Ben 10 franchise will be the biggest Corporate Whore in action cartoon history and I like Ben 10.

I'm optimistic about Dragon. Apparently being supervised by the original creative team and it was too dark for Nick apparently.

[up][up]Avatar would like to have a word with you. ...granted it's only been 4 seasons, but Nick is greenlighting a spin-off, and I suppose they intend to make it their own Ben10!

[up]Considering that the Avatar toylines are nowhere near as extensive or selling nearly as well as the Ben 10 toylines, I don't think the "corporate whore" comparison works.

[up] You also have to think that Bryke won't make anything new unless they think they've got a good idea and a solid story. They did refuse to make even more ATLA episodes after the finale when Nick asked them because even though they're making money off of ATLA, they still care about giving us a good story (which they said there was nothing more to tell of Aang's life and they didn't want to continue with his story). Mo A seems to succumb to CN's demand of new B10 every...freakin'...year.

[up][up][up] Wait...too dark for Nick? Whoa. ATLA was dark in parts and apparently Korra is even more mature and dark. WTF. My only problem with a HTTYD tv show is that they'll never get the movie voice cast to voice the TV show and Hiccup isn't Hiccup unless he has that whiny voice that is oddly amazing!

Lego Ninjago sounds feh

Got it in one; they're showing it here.

I didn't even give it my customary two minutes. After about 30 seconds I screamed in fury and changed the channel.

Lego Ninjas was initially a direct-to-DVD movie that spun-off from the Lego video games. I thought CN just aired that to fill time.

But they... SEE VALUE IN IT?!

I can't believe that. You could replace the lego toy people with humans, and it would be the exact same movie! The story was bland and horrible!

[up][up][up]Thirty seconds isn't really enough to appreciate how absolutely horrible that show is.

Shota, I seriously hope you're not comparing Avatar to Ben 10. Avatar has had one series, and that ended like three years ago. Even the upcoming series is only twelve episodes that MAY extend to more. Meanwhile the Ben 10 merchandising juggernaut is already planned for a fourth SERIES (not SEASON) with no sign of stopping. Also, it's not as well written.

eudaemon: Manof Action hasn't been truly involved with Ben 10 since the original series. The blame really should go to Cartoon Network and the people who are currently in charge: the late Dwayne Mc Duffie and Glen Murakami

Well I just watched the previews, and here's what I got to say:

  • Gumball- Nice character designs, cool use of mixed mediums, decent jokes, overall I like it.

  • Thundercats- Actually looks pretty badass, albeit the artstyle seems like it's more than a little trying to ape the style of Avatar the Last Airbender

  • Problem Solverz- My god that is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Seriously, the so-so gags and the horrendously ugly artstyle are enough to kill this one for me.

  • The Looney Tunes Show- I am slightly torn on this one. Let me tell you that they were right in saying that it was going to be different from the old stuff. On one hand it is far slower paced than the classic shorts, a bit too slow paced for my taste, and it relies more on verbal gags than slapstick. But, on the other hand, the writing is actually pretty funny. Hopefully they get a good hand on the pacing and, if the fans get angry like I believe they will (Even though it's not bad, it's not really "Looney Tunes" either), they'll probably go with the style of the older cartoons in season 2 like Loonatix did.

Well, the first part about Man Of Action not being involved since Ben 10 is true; McDuffie had stated this several times on his forum. But McDuffie and Murakami, while they can be blamed for the franchise's dropping in quality (though it's unsure whether Murakami will be on board for this new series; not that it matters since Ben 10 is dead to me now), can't be blamed for the ordering of a fourth Ben 10 series: that's only the fault of the CN execs and their desire for more money.

Kung-Fu aliens? Holy FUCK that sounds cool.

So we get some new humorous shows, the first decent Friday Night Block since Toonami and another Ben 10 (who thinks it's cuz Mc Duffie died?) Alright looks good.

Probably not. NBC only canceled the universally hated School Pride because the producer died (otherwise, it would have been renewed solely to piss off Conan).

Honestly i think that, although it kinda is terrible, Problem Solvers is better than people think. I'm probably just kissing up because the animation is awesomely random.

Thundercats remake looks ultra awesome. Friggen anime remake is mostly great!

EDIT: redract that last statement about Problem Solvers being good, it is crap. I was slighly euphoric when watching the premier. Though i do not back down on the animation These two are the ones that were animated by the same people who animated Problem Solvers, and they do a great job making it look random.

Excuse me for the hypocrisy. The 2012 Upfront is here.

http://www.nickandmore.com/2012/03/28/cartoon-network-upfront-2012/

Nick Cannon sketch series. CGI Batman. Another Lego series. Annoying Orange. Johnny Test. Another Hall of Game. New Ben 10.

It will never end.

;_;

But still, they apparently had Pen Ward play the Adventure Time theme on a ukulele backed by a 38-piece orchestra. Pretty neat. But only a consolation.

Another Ben 10 show? Wasn't there a time when this franchise wasn't a raped zombie?

OTOH, more Adventure Time, The Amazing World Of Gumball and The Looney Tunes Show? Me gusta.
