Yeah, but Wash was the only one who said he recognized the voice.
Well, to be fair, Sister was a Blue. And Wash did meet her.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Pretty sure he meant he recognized her voice from when he was being operated on at the beginning of the episode, unless that line was supposed to be a double meaning.
Text I feel is necessary to append to every post.-Reading back up on Sister-
Wait a second! Her name is Kaikana, which means "younger sister of the same gender"! The Federal Doctor is another of Grif's sisters, just not Sister!
The doctor is not Sister. They have different V As.
Yes, the Doctor is Sister's older sister.

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver! Her VA is Arryn Zech (the VA of Blake in RWBY) so she isn't Sister or Carolina. I suppose she could be related to one of them.
It just occurred to me that that was probably based on the "And that I'm a girl" thing the Blues/Sarge made Grif say in episode 22 of BGC (link goes to the wiki page, the lines are near the end of the transcript). And didn't Simmons threaten to change Grif's gender to girl in one episode where he was messing with Command's files?
EDIT: Found it. It seems like "Grif is a girl" is a bit of a running gag in the show. Can anyone else think of any other times he's been called a girl?

So I've just caught up on this series. I used to watch it a long time ago, but stopped when season 7 was coming out.
I've got to say, I'm glad the freelancer stuff is over. It was just too tonally separated from the rest of the series. Getting to go through all of it in one go made it a lot easier; if I had tried to come back and it was still in the middle of season 10 I don't think I could have continued.
Seasons 11 and 12 have been a huge improvement, IMO. They're still more serious and dramatic than 1-5, but at manageable levels.
Episode is out.
Guess most of us saw this coming. Fleix uses TV Tropes for disguises, apparently.
EDIT: Oh so that's where she was! Welcome back, Carolina!

I found it amusing that Locus was annoyed with Felix's cliché villain betrayal speech and that the rat bastard still kept it. Especially since we realized that back at the end of 10 that Carolina must've been talking about those two using the "Freelancer" tech back then. Once she came in, it became better. Especially Tucker's reaction to Epsilon's greeting.
[DATA LOST]Damn this episode was insane. The Reds and Blues confusion over it all was perfect.
But damn Felix and Locus were working together and usiang the war to take down all the planet's citizens. That's rough now I really want to know who their employer is. Their banter was great though, still hating each other while Locus complains about Felix pulling off the cliche villain speech.
And damn. Welcome back Carolina and Church. I have missed you two so much. Carolina's still a badass and Church is as funny as ever. I love Tucker trying to tackle him
On a minor note, I'm glad to see Dr. Grey is alive and survived all that. I really liked her.

I would just like it entered into the record that I totally called Felix and Locus working together.
Damn, I'm good.

That... was pretty awesome.
The animation during Felix's fight looked off, though.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I like the "employer wants both sides dead" motivation better than the speculated "the mercenaries want to keep the war going for profit". It seems more plausible considering what the sodes' resources look like.
Locus's annoyance at the speech was amusing just because it turned out the exact way you expect those speeches to turn out. The irony of having a long drawn-out speech to your captives about how genre savvy you are is pretty heavy.
Interested in what the doctor's role in this will be. Speaking of, after that bit with the cube, do you think we can expect the return of Doc?

Text I feel is necessary to append to every post.but they have an better doctor than him now. granted doing nothing would be a better doctor than him so...
Monty's not working on Rv B anymore, so it's a different guy doing the animation. Just a different style.
With the delay of Ep. Eleven, what're your thoughts on how the group (sans Tucker) will react to Carolina and Epsilon? Not to mention the extra questions surrounding their covert op?
[DATA LOST]Episode's out.
Oh joy another flashback.
..how are they gonna do this?
Oh hai Church.
Church and Carolina have really embraced that sibling relationship Burnie mentioned.
Crazy AI time is crazy and awesome
Theta!!
Oh shit it's Omega...and Sigma.
Shot to the head and no damage at all.
That explains the helmet
Weird Lighting error?
Was that Kimball?
That explains a few things.
Well I'm both sated and desire more.

My hopes of seeing the return of O'Malley someday have renewed, even if I know they're a longshot.
Yeah, I'm a little baffled why he hadn't re-appeared at all... sure the storyline was getting more intense, but he was still part of the Freelancer storyline, yet he fell Out of Focus.
That Sigma cameo, and Omega's appearance though, those were sick.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Not to mention he's the best villain this series has had - and the fact that that they've taken the series in darker direction means they could get away with making him super-competent as a villain while still keeping his over-the-top hilarious nature that makes him "O'Mally" and none of it would feel out of place.
I think the AI characters are definitely gonna make a comeback. They may only be "memories," but Epsilon seems to be like a full backup for them. I'm thinking Church is gonna develop some split personalities.
You guys like Let's Plays? You guys like shameless plugs? Well, come on down!So apparently Chuch has taken a few levels in badass...
And you know, I'm a little disappointed. Carolina is the only good-aligned Bad Ass in the series now. Felix is evil, Caboose doesn't count, most of the Freelancers are dead or corrupted. Church is an AI. Tex is 'dead'.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).What about Wash, Sarge, and Tucker?
The world will look up and shout "Save us", and I'll look down and whisper "Too bad, Waluigi Time" Vote Loki 2016

Pretty sure the Doc is actually Grif's sister with a slightly older voice (or the helmet is modifying the sound of her voice). I know she was a ditz, but post-Season 5 Rv B has taken most of the characters and reinvented them as these pathetic, unpredictable, untrustworthy but loyal badasses.
So maybe Sister got reassigned to Chorus and stayed there. Her voice actor sounds similar to Sister's at least.
