Jason being in MKX is really nice. Maybe someday we'll have Leatherface appearing in some game too.
So I watched The Dentist, and I was kinda bored by it. Upside is, I watched the scene with the teeth pulling without freaking the fuck out, so I think I've conquered the fear!
There's always the sequel.
Found Spellcaster for free.
"Somehow the hated have to walk a tightrope, while those who hate do not."The next Friday the 13th has a new writer.
Maybe they'll actually consider inching closer to possibly getting it made at some point?
On the next F13, Upcoming Horror Movies puts it this way:
- It's said that the film will incorporate found footage and "answer the decades-old question of why slasher Jason Voorhes can't be killed." (3/25/15)
What there is to answer? Are they going to rip off Hatchet and make him a ghost?
If I had the means, I would travel around and smack every writer regurgitating the found-footage rumor and be like "BAD WRITERS". That was abandoned around the same time that they revealed that plot thread.
Everyone knows why Vorhees can't be killed - plot armor and franchising.
No, it's because there's a worm that lives inside him and hops from body to body and JASON GOES TO HELL SUCKS SO FUCKING BAD
But what matters is that they already explained it. Freddy, Jason, Michael, etc. they've already been explained. The producers and writers need to quit with this explaining bullshit and just make a fucking slasher film.
Besides, we all know Jason is a metahuman.
"Somehow the hated have to walk a tightrope, while those who hate do not."I stand by my theory the reason he can't die is because he's too much of a box office draw. He has the feats Immunity to Death (Franchising) and Damage Reduction/100 (Plot Armor)
He also has proficiency with simple weapons and Cleave.

It's also possible that it's the result of meticulous planning and good psychology.
Don't Go in the Woods...Alone sucks as bad as everybody says it does.
I loved it.

Watched Scream Park. It's decidedly low-budget and amateur, does everything by the numbers. Might be interested if you're into retro horror or you want to see Conneaut Lake Park.
Heh! And Stitches was bloody hilarious. There's shades of the first Nightmare on Elm Street film with the one-liners and surreal death scenes.
That looks pretty bad.
I thought Stitches was one of the better slashers of recent memory.
x4 Ok... What does it have to do with Scream... I don't even think I saw Ghostface...

He has a new mask (supposedly due to a legal snafu) so they're keeping him hidden for the time being.
Ordered I Know What You Did Last Supper, and another slasher book called Camp Carnage.
Arrow Video US is bringing Blood Rage to Blu-ray.
Watched The Hills Run Red last night with the wife. It was alright. Decent premise, nice gore. I like the idea of the mythos of Babyface. The "twist" at the end runs a bit overlong though.
Saw See No Evil 2. After the first movie went out of its way to show that the killer is dead, it's silly how here he just wakes up and goes on with his business.
I borrowed Squeal from my library. Killer pig people who only speak in pig noises torture and kill band members. It was alright. There's a fun fight scene near the end that was rather brutal, but it's negated by the heroes stupidity. I'd give it a 6.5/10 or so.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?
No. It's a Warner Bros. rights thing.
I watched Dementia 13. It was cool. I love the musical score to it. The violent axe murders. And that I could legally remake it if I really felt like it(I think?).
